as much as that would be great I just think it's unrealistic in this day and age to "sit" on signings like that. between agents and the selling club, it would get out there that we have signed players. in the era of social media I just can't see how it is possible.

would be fantastic if you're right, mind.

But why would Aubemayang be held back till after the Euros?

Hindsight is amazing isn't it

2 absolute worldy signing flanked by one completely useless fullback who most will be glad to see the back of and one defender with undoubted quality who for some reason either just couldn't hack the poem or just didn't settle.
Shows how signings can be really 50/50 on how successful they will be

Personally of all the signings/players we are linked with (looking like to get) I only rate Gudongan and Aubamayang......the rest imho are just average or are just potential (Nolito Stones and Sane)
 
Saw that Atletico is close to be signing Vrsajliko (spelling?) And wondering what they need him for. They have Felipe Luis and Juanfran as full backs already haven't they? Could we be in for one of them by any chance? Pure speculation on my part.
 
The problem with 6 signings right now would be the fact that we have to sell just as many. If not more? Otherwise, Yaya, Nasri, Bony, Kolarov etc....will end up as fringe players who have no place in the squad and will be hard to shift without us getting completely shafted.

well thats the consequence paying too much for players that their ability don't deserve. can't really blame but ourselves.

Nope Ferguson might speak highly of Mourinho in public but he has done everything in his power behind the scenes to stop him getting the job. Ferguson never wanted him. In Ancelotti's new book he says Ferguson asked him to succeed him but he had already agreed to go to Madrid. So he picked Moyes.
