I don't know about this anti-_City conspiracy you speak of. But if some none City player is being benched because he is simply linked to City. One would expect players who actually play for City to not even get a call up.You can tell he's nailed on for city as he can't even get in this England side now ahead of Smalling. Woy just won't pick him now even if Smalling manages to give away stupid free kicks on the half way line time after time, and use his massive chest to cushion the ball pathetically back to Joe almost letting the Slovaks in to really embarrass us. Say's it all really, not part of Woys clique and he's coming.

But low and Behold, our very own Raheem Sterling was given 2 starts in spite of average performances and seemingly playing ahead of other superior players on the bench.
Perhaps, Woy is just a poor evaluator of talent and not necessarily anti- City.
Perhaps. But you really think he is being benched because of City? Not living over here and being immersed in the media here you just won't get it
I'll be astonished if Stones turns out decent so I hope this doesn't happen.
If we need an English player then Rose, Walker or Dier would fit well.
I hope in the future we'll develop our own home grown players because almost every one in recent years have been of a very low standard. The truth is that the English squad has 2-3 players worth having and the rest or mid-table types (like the Irish, Welsh, Scottish, etc). The Euros are only making this more obvious than ever.
Pity Stones isn't playing though....maybe he'd show something on that stage to change my mind and others who are similarly unimpressed.
Perhaps. But you really think he is being benched because of City?
What pray tell is wrong with this post now?I will have some of what you're smoking.

The fact that English players are generally mediocre or that Rose/Walker/Dier are the exception?
Or that Stones isn't impressive?
I'd be cool with Stones if he was either more impressive or less expensive. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised but that's what I said about Sterling. Lets see if Pep truly is a miracle worker.Think your right about Stones not looking Impressive at the moment but you could say the same about Walker and Rose 12 to 18 months ago then hey Presto they get a top manager, they look very confident and impressive.

John Stones will be pursued, but rather than sign a second centre-back, Mangala could stay, freeing funds to strengthen other areas. [Star]
Sounds good to me. We need full backs more than a second centre back ( provided we get Stones).City Watch @City_Watch 3h3 hours ago
