Other than a few highlights of Celta and the games he played for Spain at the EC, I really don't know much about him to judge on forehand. Than again, why would you wanna do that. I just hope in the end we can all say he was a true bargain.

Not seen enough of him to have a useful opinion of his ability. On the face of it, it feels a little underwhelming to be signing a 29 year old who presumably hasn't been "pulling up trees" for most of his career but the reality is that we haven't been playing as a team for the best part of a couple of years. Turning us into a functioning unit is the most important thing and that isn't necessarily achieved by buying a string of star names.
