It has been suggested that it was deliberate, to give him an excuse for the lack of MP supporters in the room. But so much vitriol is being directed at him from Johnson and Cameron's supporters, it might be completely untrue. Or not.

I'll probably get castigated for this, but even though I'm a Leftie I can see the qualities in Gove; he might be a charisma free zone but he is the most intelligent of any of the candidates.
