The "being used for new contract" thing doesn't add up - Bonucci only signed a 5 year deal last season.

It's nothing like Ramos, who was nearing the end of his contract.

Yeah exactly, even if we don't get him I can't see Juve offering him a new contract. It's in his agents interest to get the move, he'll have got a share from the contract extension last year and will earn a lot from this deal, especially at the prices quoted!

As another person in this thread wrote. He's Italian so take away 5 years and we practically have a 24 year old defender. Those Italians always tend to Play great for ages!

In the Premier Leauge?

Zola did well, but he was as freak.

Yes centrally but unless we improve our full backs then we'll still have problems in defence. 43M for a 29 year old ? the football world has taken madness to a new level.

I reckon navas will make a great right back.

This is happening. The soft briefings out of Turin really point to it.

Now if they sell Bonucci to stave off selling Pogba, I'll laugh myself silly.

I think thats what has happened. This has come from nowhere - Pogpa will stay one more year - Real will buy him next year and Juve have two lots of cash over next twelve months.

this team missing leadership when Kompany is out.
Bonucci is the perfect signing for me.
already at his peak, proven world class CB and got leadership quality.
i don't have problem with his age.
since top class CB generally can play at high level game until at age 34.
