Why do we always have to be the club waiting for others to find a replacement?

Every time we try to sign a player we have to wait and wait for the selling club to find a replacement. Never seems to happen when we are selling a player, although the players we sell are rarely our top players and we are happy to get rid of them.

If that's the case, can't imagine Juve would allow Bonucci and Pogba to leave in a window. Would mean we'd be signing a superb defender but missing out on Kroos. I can deal with that

Benatia is a starter, highly thought of still in Serie A. He won't be a replacement for a CB who played 6 times in the league last season.

Injured or not but he's a backup that they could easily replace without spending the money they will on Benatia.
