a hugely underwhelming and at times baffling transfer window so far
I think we are still missing a core and purpose in our team. I have no idea how this group of players are going to produce any kind of 'style', its the most unbalanced side we have had since Hughes and whatever miracles Pep can work will be needed
sounding a little spoilt as a few on here also are, but i am strangely de-motivated by the way things are going

even a :
Gundogan
Stones
Sane
Nolito
Peres
ZInchenko

summer is really really average for the outlay we are looking at when we list the players like that..

We havent addressed any of the MAJOR flaws so far, a gaping chasm in the middle of the park and no world class/top tier forward to link with Aguero or replace him when probably required
When does the window close? You do sound spoils tbh

I don't know. There was a fit bird, I live above the Hilton. She started talking to me, Spanish accent, she said her son is thinking of signing for city. I said something rude. The end. I post here.
Haha I like to think we'll see stories of Messi snubbing us and saying 'I was going to sign for city, but my mum had a run in with a local who tried it on, not sure that's the right environment for me and my family"

Unbalanced? eh? If we sign Stones, Sane, Peres and another LB we'd have 2 top players for every position on the pitch.

GK -- Hart & Willy

RB -- Sagna & Peres
LB -- Clichy & Another
CB -- Kompany, Stones, Mangala, Otamendi

DM -- Fernando & Delph
CM -- Fernandinho & Gundogan
RM -- Navas & Sane
LM -- Sterling & Nolito
AM -- Yaya, Silva, De Bruyne & Nasri

ST -- Aguero, Kelichi & Bony

That's a pretty impressive 25 man squad and very well balanced. If we only signed those 3 players and another LB i'd be very happy with our summer business.

We can't sell zab and kolarov until we sign replacements or we can't sign replacements until we sell zaba and kolarov???

I am really confused!!!

Its easy mate dont read twitter or the paper and when the transfer window is shut see who have City bought and discuss

hi mate who in your unlicensed professional opinion is the better Twitter account for city news. City watch or Mcfc info? Say you had to pick only one to follow who'd it be?

City watch seems the most trusted on here mate.....they all pretty close tho! I follow them both as sometimes one account picks up some info the other has missed but if you need to pick one I'd go with citywatch (i think he use to post on bluemoon as well) cheers

Specifically what weaknesses did you seen in his admittedly limited appearances last season, because I thought he looked the part regardless of age.

Generally speaking (cos I realise there were exceptions to this, such as Stoke at home) I thought his best performances in the Prem (Spurs home, West Ham away, Stoke away) were off the bench. When he started (Sunderland away, Swansea away) I thought he was less effective. Don't get me wrong I think he's a good player and a cool finisher, but he's still got lots to learn and I don't think he's got enough in his armoury to lead the line for one of the world's best sides yet. Specifically I think he still lacks judgement as to when to go it alone and when to involve others, he looks one paced (NB not out and out slow, but no discernible change of gear), and he drifts out of games. Part of that will be down to the support network of course, but for me he's not the finished article, which is why I was advocating buying a second striker on here yesterday as cover for Kun (on the assumption that Bony will not be here come August).....something that for some was apparently tantamount to advocation of child molestation

That's 20 foreigners presuming the LB is going to be foreign. Needs to be 17 for the Prem and CL right?

That's why our squad is unbalanced IMO. I hate quota systems!!!!

Like Barca have?

Nail on head.

I never quite understand why fans feel we NEED to have a Number 9 type aerial threat. Especially in a league where 90% of the central defenders are extremely competent in the air, but lack in the technical/mobile side of the game. Why play a striker that plays to their strengths?

There is no point in people guessing what or how Pep might play, each game in the league has to be taken on it's own merits, like he has admitted, this is a new challenge, which will force him into new ideas, and thinking.

What he has done in the past (well last few seasons at Bayern) will have little bearing on us,unless we hit the ground running, and to be fair the first 3 games we have this season, with 2 being at home, should set us on our way,and give Pep an idea of how our league can be,before going to the swamp for a "anything can happen" match.

Even the old stubborn one played 2 up top on rare occasions, albeit in the wrong games mind,so we have got to see how it pans out first few games am afraid.

Those fans questioning our signings don't work for bookies then. We are favourites to win the League and for good reason. They are usually right or they go bust

Any news on that pissed bloke from last night who hit on Messi's mum? Were the police called? Where was Lionel whilst his mother was being assaulted?

these are the most important questions of the day...

He thought it was imminent but she bottled it. Ah well.

What's wrong with having it as an option? Why potentially diminish the scope of your attacking armoury by not having a player like that. Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal, the rags, West Ham, Leicester, they all manage to accommodate a striker with that particular strength in their squads and very effectively too

Messi is holidaying in Ibiza.

I'm so hungover. It might just be someone from the academy, she got ushered off by a driver, I was going home and she was stood in the foyer, I was hammered but she looked fit, not sure what I even said to her initially but I asked her if she was in Manchester for work and she said no, I'm here because my son is signing for city, I'd guess she was about 40, being harsh. Will probably be that kids mum from South America we've nearly signed.
