Out of the possible match-ups, Gladbach would be by far the toughest opponent and a very realistic one assuming the higher seeded teams like Shakhtar, Ajax and Anderlecht don't screw it up.

Thorgan Hazard is decent as is Josip Drmic. Probably their best/most exciting player though is Mahmoud Dahoud, young midfielder who's current on Liverpool's radar.

The last 3 times Arsenal were in the playoffs, they got Udinese, Fenerbahce and Besiktas.

Mostly, it comes from the German/Italian teams having quite a low coefficient, in the past, it's been Leverkusen, Bayern once, and Lazio/Napoli, but as some of those do well in the EL by taking it seriously, their ranking makes them seeded.

Probbly because they will (or may) be ranked lower than us, i.e. in the lower pot of the 2.

It doesn't, for instance if Ajax or Shaktar get through they would be seeded, and therefore we couldn't play them, and if that were the case then BMG and Roma would be unseeded, so we could draw one of those.
