Think it's tricky trying to predict the wings we have such an abundance of wingers. Wouldn't be surprised by Navas or Sane starting either.

why wont de bruyne be ready? a couple of good weeks hard training back should see him right? not like he`s not played for 6 months?!?!? I think pep will go strong for this to get a good start to the season!

Think it could be a real possibility with Sane not having much time in yet and the possibility of Navas being gone or nearly gone. Here's my guess:

Hart
_____ Otamendi Denayer Clichy

Sterling Aguero Nolito

Wouldn't be surprised though to see him hand a start to one or two of Maffeo, Adarabioyo or A. Garcia

Substitute appearances by Sane, Kelechi, one of the youngsters I listed above.

EDIT didn't think about Zaba not featuring yet in preseason, reckon Maffeo will definitely start unless Pep thinks Sagna will be alright.

TBH, it will be good I think for the likes of Sane, Sagna, KDB to not have to worry about a little recovery for the CL game

Ideally, I don't think Sagna or De Bruyne would play in the opening w/e. But the CL qualifier makes a big difference.
