People are worried about his age should remember Edwin Van Saar sign for Utd 3 months before his 35th birthday and went on to play for them for 6 yrs ..

And Arsenal signed 33year old Cech last season for £10mil..And with the huge market inflation since then it's probably about the same?

Bravo is an upgrade no doubt. He is considered top 5-7 in the world for sure. He turned 33 4 months back, so he should easily have another 3 years in him or even more. Buffon is 38, mind you Caballero is about to turn 35 as well. I see no harm in paying 18 mill for him, having him as a starter for 2-3 years and then maybe someone like Rulli come in take the spot with Bravo as no.2. Ofcourse that is if everything works out. I saw Bravo in the Copa this time and he makes some amazing saves, he is very underrated and from what I have seen seems better than Ter Stegen. We have bought a lot of talent from 18-21 this season and even Rulli, its fine to buy someone at the peak and for a short time.

He's ok, that's it, could a great manager not develop joe and show us how great they both are.
For me giving up on joe and spending money instead of having a try, leaves a slight sour taste.

Well that puts things into perspective. Everton just paid 13 mill for Williams who is turning 32 this week. Mind you also that goalkeepers can play probably 2-3 years more than a defender. Cech was also second choice at Chelsea unlike Bravo.

Time to watch Bravo in action now. He'll probably cock up and this thread will explode.

I dont disagree on the Hart bit, but Bravo is much more than ok mate.

I might be wrong but Everton appear to be wanting a new goal keeper, to replace Howard.

Steklenburg or whatever he's called doesn't scream number 1, more an above average number 2.

Steklenburg was fantastic on Saturday, better than Robles in my opinion. Hart would still be an upgrade of course.

Liverpool... Mignolet & Karius...... Won't be interested.

You should have just said they're dopey cunts who wouldn't notice a good goalkeeper if he caught two bullets in front of them before belting them around the face with a jellyfish.

That save from Aguero's header in the Copa final has been etched in my memory. It was insane.

£18 million for one of the best in the world is a bargain, but I fear a lot of the fans won't take to him because he's not Joe.
