So we cannot expect Sergio, Nolito, Delph, and Silva.

We might expect Komps, Angelino, Fernando, Garcia, Navas, Sane and Iheanacho. Not sure about Maffeo.

Not sure if Bravo will be replaced as he is a huge factor in Pep's system and needs every match with his defence. Individual wishes of single players are less important than the team.

As Pep wants to win the match he will need some creativity. That's why I wouldn't be surprised to see KDB from the start to be subbed by maybe Gundogan.
If we start Komps he certainly may be a candidate to be subbed.

We should control the match as usual, score, keep a clean sheet especially with Komps in and avoid an extra 30 mins.

But most important to me is: all the best to Komps!!
Have a new start, forget about the past and come back again step by step.
It must be so difficult for the lad to get over all those injuries and be positive and trust his own body to be perfectly fit from now on.

what with playing them twice in a few days,
it'll be interesting to see how many different ways of bettering swansea that guardiola, torrent and arteta come up with over the 180mins.

maybe tonight's a great chance to rest two or three, let some youngsters have a game and hopefully progress into the hat without too much mither.
the weekend match will be somewhat different and i reckon we'll hammer them with a more full-strength team,
but i'm looking forward to tonight's game more than normal for a mid-week milk cup affair.

c'mon city!

Zaba in a midfield role allowing maffeo game time?

I think we've somewhat bizarrely (given the complaints over the summer about a lack of signings) got a surplus of full backs wanting to play today's game. All of Zaba, Clichy, Maffeo and Angelino will be after game time and we've got enough CBs and DMs also fit and ready to not want to shift them about too much. I think I'd be going with something like:

Caballero

Maffeo ----- Stones ----- Kompany ----- Clichy

A. Garcia

Sane ----- De Bruyne ----- Brahim ----- Angelino

Iheanacho
with Tosin hopefully to come into the back line later on and Fernando on to give him some more protection. Anything else feels a bit like square pegs in round holes or changing a very effective system.

When is he NOT injured?. A terrible signing from last year

I think this is his 8th or 9th period out injured since signing him one year ago. Frustrating though that is for someone like Kompany or Aguero, you can put up with it because of their incredible quality.

Delph doesn't have incredible quality. He is a workhorse of a player who you need to be able to reply upon, and we can't rely on him. Well, we can. We can rely on him being fucking injured all the time.

Get rid.

Shit. To the 'guess the team' thread....
Thanks SWP.

...Back to the drawing board, if I were you, S2 :-)

As reported on the OS yesterday

Pep Guardiola says Vincent Kompany and Fabian Delph could feature against Swansea on Wednesday evening.

"Fernando is probably not ready for Wednesday but maybe for Saturday while Fabian Delph is with us and is much better".

Midfield is tricky to predict as you would want to rest both KDB and Gundogan however I think 1 will play alongside Delph and Garcia. Navas and Sane are the obvious choices for the wide spots!
