Happy 5-1 day everyone

That's just marvellous

Watching that again i've just realised that 'crimson Clive' is so enthusiastic about us, wouldn't happen today lol!!!

What a day that was, had no money left to go out that night as i'd used everything to get a ticket, managed a couple of hours after it in the Belmont in Crumpsall then home, work was great on the Monday though.

That was back in the day when beating them was an achievement. As bad as they were (Leighton in goal, FFS), we were worse. And we didn't beat them all that often back then. Nowadays it's no big deal, is it.

Went down Ashton that night. Great night of celebrations. Landlord in the boozer said he wasn't putting the highlights on as it would cause trouble in his pub.
Fairly big Blue goes over and said 'there'll be even more trouble if you don't put it on!'
Job done.

Lol
Actually at the time i was in Denton and the whole place that night was in party mode
I remember entering the pub after the match and nothing else

i used to love the old deby matches, always seemed to have more spice. Even when we were shit we used to give them a decent game, we often got beat though. it was character building.
Was great going in the away end at OT. Remember standing on the old wooden seats at the back of the stretford end singing city songs, that was an interesting day :) and about 50 of us letting off blue balloons in the Old Trafford paddock it was a wednesday night match. They kept us in after the game like they did the city fans in the away end.
the good old days...... but now is absolutely brilliant, i love gloating regularly. I alwys said our time would come to my rag mates

Thr girl i was with at the time was a rag (non manc of course) and had been in the main stand tbat day with me
She wasnt amused but what the hell?

Me and my mate managed to get a seat on the wall in the kippax , down the side of the exit nearest the scum fans. As a teenager managing to get a seat here for any game was a result , to sit there for this game was fantastic. Went home with a pocket full of change as well.

You'll never take the kippax, you'll never take the kippax. Ha ha .

I was there...top right hand corner of the kippax with my dodgy perm and teenage tash...will never forget that day for the rest of my days...because I was only a 16 year old lad...it will always be the best memory for me...better than anything recent...was just epic because it was so unexpected...When Hinchy scored that bullet header my head exploded...what a day

What a great day, swerved my cousins wedding to go to the match. He was a big blue so didn't mind in the slightest. That's one of my favourite days as a city fan, we weren't much cop then and any time we humiliate the vermin is up there with some of the finer things in life. I'm glad we've drawn them in the cup, it gives us another chance to show them that the shoe's on the other foot these days[emoji106]

Will always be grateful to my dad he took me to the Brentford league cup match (4-1) instead of the 5-1 derby. Great game against Brentford, might start a thread about it in a few days.
