Yes you did, and if you didn't see that you did then sleep is best for you.

Seriously think you need to calm down. I have not noticed any issues with getting food or having a piss at all. If you have fair enough. To me it just seems to get better with city square, entertainment, better grub etc.

Not always right at all but your points seem a little pedantic. You can get a pint in city square. I regularly get in the ground at 2.50 and get a pint with my old man. Same at half time. Never managed to not have a piss at any time I have wanted to either. Can't say I count the men's urinals. The ground is marvelous and will only get better. The football has been brilliant to watch this season. Shane you are not enjoying it - can't say I have noticed many issues at all.

The most important matter is the football on the pitch and that has been excellent. Lets all rejoice in the football and the admiration for the style of play CITY are providing. There will always be off the field frustrations but the bigger picture is the best I have experienced in over 50 years of watching CITY. Lets not let the gripes of some contributors to this forum cloud these wonderful football times.

Excellent post

Don't agree that it's 'turning to shit'. It's exactly the same if not worse at other venues, whether it's the Etihad, swamp, arena or Manc Academy.

At City I guess certain sections of the ground aren't as good as they were due to development work but it's no where near the worst.

I usually pop to the loo after a goal or at a goal kick if I really need it as its empty.

Have a pint before I get to the ground and if I want a drink, I'll just pop to the bar when the games on and quickly get a bottle of whatever. Takes a minute at most. I'm not gagging for alcohol but I do understand some are.

Whilst I agree all moans are rather trivial but together they add up. If (and it still is 'if' as far as I'm aware) the stadium is blocked at 127 then it will take considerably longer to walk to 'P' instead of Y. The queues which are always worse there anyway will be chaotic before k.o.. Then add to that no bars behind the South Stand, just one or two before 'The Wall'. Less toilets and food - and some of the simple pleasures of the match are disappearing. It's easy to say get there an hour before - but I never have and don't want to start now. The TV becomes an option and the money saved can go towards the purchase of Champions League final hospitality - leaving those that do go,to moan at all the tickets going to corporates.
I'll probably try a season in level 2 if it's as poor as I fear or I'll just cherry pick the big games. Anyway, hopefully we'll still be able to walk around the stadium but if not there certainly will be a reaction- how much of one, we'll just have to wait and see. But as the Squirty v Worsley row shows the Wall is dividing more than just the stadium

Exactly - the football is the primary consideration imo.

It was 10 Nil to Worsleyweb last time I checked

Agreed, but the 'other considerations' can be the reason we go to watch it in the ground instead of watching on tv.

I moved up to the new 3rd tier last season because I feared being priced out of level 2 and I jumped before being pushed. One of the trade offs for my cheaper season ticket is awful facilities which are getting worse. The toilets are very busy and to have any chance of getting a beer at half time, someone from our group has to leave at 37 mins (it was 40 mins last season). Yes I could go with out a beer at half time, but it's a part of my match day routine. How many things do you give up in the routine before you stop going all together?

It's so cramped in the concourse - I just can't believe there wasn't a better way to design the space. It's a joke to suggest it's adequate for 6000 people.

Im happy with the view and like I said, I accept the trade off for now but it's frustrating as it could have been avoided.

This tunnel doesn't affect me in anyway, but I can't help question why they're inconveniencing proper supporters to accommodate yet more corporates when we struggle to fill the corporate areas we already have. No doubt they'll be offered first dibs on away tickets too as a sweetener.

Some fundamental decisions at the club are not being made with supporters best interests in mind in my opinion.

My problem is I can always see both sides to an argument. Worsley is right that it should be about the football, but with City and me it's always been about the social side too - especially when the craic was all we had to look forward to. Take that away and you start to wonder if it's better to watch in the pub. In my case, I own the fucking pub - so the question is always more prominent to me.
I go with my adult son now (when he's not serving away) and eating a picnic and a flask of tea is not how I wish to spend time with him. So whilst Worsley can take the moral high ground, Squirty's concerns are more similar to my own..... so let's call it a draw and go for a pint ;-)

Sounds like a good plan. Any chance of opening a decent pub near the Etihad. I quite like Mary D's but we could do with a bit more variety.

That's fair enough and I accept your opinion.

I don't go to the game for the food or drink , and I don't have a major gripe regarding the facilities.

I have a disabled son and getting him in and out of the stadium presents some difficulties, but us being able to enjoy the football more than compensates for any inconvenience caused.
Some people seem to enjoy finding fault but that's their prerogative I guess.

I always send someone else ;-) ps I was agreeing with you

Yes spot on Andy. I always seem to get lumbered with getting the half time round in lol. Even in 93:20 you are lucky to have more than a couple if minutes to sink your pint and trying to get back to your seat before the second half.

There is loads of spare space under the SS where new facilities could have been built to mitigate the impact of the boundary change in the SS (more fans but not the increase in facilities) and now the Berlin Wall type development cutting away more so some nosy gits can look at the top of a player's head for 5 seconds.

Pissing off the bread and butter is economic myopia. Even pricing bottles at £5 at the burger stall will affect bar queue, and as for a packed lunch - they are banned aren't they? The searching last match had 2 searchers for a set of 6 turnstiles at Y, and now we have to go to P which is always busier. It is a slowly eroding 'experience', losing 1% of fans hear and there whilst it all adds up to an unsustainable model, as once not many new fans are going to pay £650 behind the goal if we have a couple of seasons in mid table.

Mines slightly different to Mary D's. i nearly posted in the traffic thread about my delay today- I had to wait for a horse whilst it shat in the road. Rather than resort to my Gorton roots and shout "Oi, you dirty twat!" I got a shovel and put it on the roses - adding another two minutes to my journey! Life's different now, but I don't want my trips to the match to change too much.
I'll get the beers in the Hare and Hounds on Saturday - I'll be the sad guy in his fifties, by the bar , missing his son ;-)
