15/16 financial results - £20.5m profit announced

I liked these quotes from Professor Tom Cannon, a football finance expert who is based at the University of Liverpool

‘Any UEFA test over moving in the right direction City would pass with flying colours. The figures are really positive, especially where you look at where they were and where they are now. They have tightened up every area of their business and are running a very efficient ship. All they need to do now is win the Champions League and they will be laughing all the way to the bank.’

The Times has a tiny piece headed "City wage bill now less than United's" - Crikey ! Same wage bill as the thrifty Arsenal at £196m whilst the rags shelled out £232m for the privilege of reaching the Europa League.

Has been lower since Mancini left

In the section on Environment the Club report regarding the CFA that butterflies, moths and birds have returned and there are signs of dormice in this once derelict area.

Meanwhile the swamp is infested with rats of all types

Come on City

we are in good hands

just makes me sick that the media just gloss over this sort of news
the foundation was built clear all debt build a winning team and a campus and CFC and now self running Profit every other club in the world would love to be in but the so called glory clubs in europe and england are running at a loss and build up big debts

why are united in debt the so called biggest club in the world hahaha still float around a debt of £450million based on assets the banks are laughing at them with interest rates united are playing a very dodgy card and with that bill owned to banks it only takes a very bad run and they could call in that debt

The figures would look rather less good without the CL run, but it sounds very healthy.

Quick question - Garside in the i claims that upwards of £2bn has been invested by the owners. Is that true? It sounds high to me.
