City v Saints post match

But, it's not like we are playing good football, and considering our opponents so far, we should be ahead on points, not on our +1 goalscore.
We din't play well today. We were insane against Everton

You pays your money you takes your choice !!! Trams off today so decided to watch at home....I wouldnt booo but when your paying you expect 100% effort.....anything less and it's not on !!

I don't think there's many other sets of fans who would have booed their team going top of the league.. Sadly it's what we've become now.

I didn't buy into the media hype of 'unbeaten season' after the first 5 or 6 games, and I'm not getting worried about this run of games. We are top of the league and that'll do for me! At times this was a performance very reminiscent of last season, Pep needs at least two more transfer windows to make this 'his' team.
What worries me is so far this whole month has been reminiscent of last season. We are overdue s good game so hopefully the scum will get spanked

What must Pep think of this league. Fuckin best league in the world at parking the fuckin bus and time wasting after 43min. Happy with 2nd half response. The time wasters defended well. Top of the league and more min in the bank for the players to gel. Hoping for a certain over team from london who play in dark blue to smash the other team whose spiritial home is london who play in menstrual red. Still early fuckin doors in this league. Sense of perspective required (talkin for myself). CTID

southampton wont care, it worked for them. they awe rent exactly going to go all out against us.

Look near the end how much better sterling is in the fucking middle. These managers get paid millions how the hell can they not see that? He's not good enough to play on the wings, he's still raw. Not subbing on Nolito earlier was criminal.
But practically all of our players except Navas are better in the middle, so it's difficult for him to play there.

We won't win anything is what I'm saying, not this season maybe next when we've hopefully upgraded a few positions.

That £400 stinging is it ? You jinxed i

Maybe i will take more notice of Ronald Koemans statement last week , we are the best team he has faced in his managerial career , if you think we are not playing good football you are vastly in the minority

Not only is sterling good in the middle he is also good on his natural side but yet again he starts on the left.

There's a serious mentality issue with this time and its been like this for a while.

We should of flew out the blocks today when the other teams have dropped points yesterday and put down a huge marker.

Instead we got the same half arsed performance in the first half chasing the game again.

He's average at best, he'll always have that cock up in him he seems to love passing the ball away and running continuously in to no mans land.

He is great on the ball though. Maybe he should be moved into midfield and Ota/Fernandinho and Komps should be the central defensive pairing?

So its ok to boo them off rag style. A lot of our fans around me today were spoilt brat knobs

I don't encourage booing, but i think people got their expectations raised to sky-high limits when the season started like it did. And now it's turning into something quite mediocre, at best.

I haven't seen any of the match, just in from work, but for people who watched it, what was your opinion.
Was it a fair result, were there more positives than negatives.
I've recorded the match and will watch it later, I will reserve my judgements and comments till then, still top of the league.

Shot ourselves in the foot again. looked good second half in the main but always seem to slip or play a shit pass at the vital moment. Don't particularly see the point of having a ball playing back 3 if both Gundogan and Dinho are going to drop in to collect the ball. Felt like we attacked with one less player in the first half because of it.

Don't want to be too harsh on Stones but he looks exactly the same player as he was at Everton when he was in and out of the team. A few assured performances against cannon fodder at the start of the season aside, he's been poor of late.

Thought Pep's subs were strange, especially the Navas sub. Would have had Nolito on much sooner too.

On the plus, Nacho looked superb and Sterling was good again. And Kompany came through unscathed.

Generally speaking there's just too many players who aren't actually affecting games. Gundogan needs to go up a gear as I've seen little of him to suggest we're better off with him in the side instead of Nasri. Fernandinho has been poor (wonder pass aside) by his standards and Silva and KDB were both poor today. I do think there's a good handful of players who just don't move the ball quick enough to play this system effectively. I also think we hugely limit ourselves by deploying Dinho and Gundogan so deep when we have the ball as we start an attack. It takes away our midfield and it means that any forward pass into an attacker either has to be out wide or has to go straight down the middle to Aguero facing away from goal with a centre half on him like a rash.
