why not. surely if bravo can give it away then the defence have a high chance of that happening swell. the one mistake was i agree, but the rest of the game he played well imo

kolorov bailed him out today as well. Anyway far too much tinkering at the back for my liking. No chance for any stability. Clean sheets are are as scarce as hens teeth at the minute. that needs to change quickly.

because pep accepts that that is going to happen with his goalkeepers...eh accepts this

but he said in the pre match interview that we must stop giving them goals (easy goals and chances) - stones did exactly this today

i agree mate, it was a bad mistake today. but this will happen imo with the way we play.

yes i agree but he was under no pressure.....i can take it when under pressure but he wasn't ...it was completely sloppy...if he was being pressed then I cold see why but he wasn't..th attacker was stood a few yards off him
 
He passed it without looking twice early in the first half and both times they were backwards and both times they were to no-one.

Much better second half though..Instead of his tendency to back-off and back-off he defended on the front foot and in 45mins he doubled the amount of tackles he's made this season, more of that please
 
This has parallels with the Mangala debate where half of the comments said he was young,a prospect,one for the future,the fee was damaging him etc etc, others said he had no footballing brain,no composure etc etc. Either way the Club have pumped out £85 million plus and still got a central defender issue.

He's been absolutely fine this season.

Even the pundits and hacks are singing his praises. He made a cock up. Same as Bravo in the week. He'll learn from this.

Not sure why all the fanny wetting and mentioning his price is going on to be honest.

Was more disappointed with Silva etc today than Stones. He made one mistake but the rest of his play was fine.
 
We should stand by Stones , dropping him will not help his progress or confidence , it was a misunderstanding between vinny and stones but no one is giving our vastly more experienced captain a hard time . This team is set up to play adventurous attacking/possession football so the defence will be severely tested i dont envisage many clean sheets (or boxer shorts) but i do expect to witness some of the best football i have ever seen , and if we win a few trophies along the way , that would be rather nice
