City v Saints post match

I said in the pre match thread this would be tough, they have a mean defence and good keeper, at least we are fighting back after going behind. I think last year we would have lost this. Take a point gained while in bad spell :-)

The support was fantastic in the second half, but the booing was horrible. We have become entitled to winning and some people expect us to just go unbeaten. We probably need Roberto Martinez as manager to lower the expectations, maybe then we'd get back to normal.

Or we just need the majority to understand that despite Pep being one of the best managers of the last decade he's new to the league and implemented a lot of change that will take time to bear fruit. And most importantly that even the best teams in the world need their fans sometimes to help them get over the line and pick them up.

Never in my life have i booed a city team and never would. Boo the ref , boo the opposition , boo linesman , boo the champs league anthem , boo Swales , but f*ck me booing your own team? Always thought our supporters were the best , gallows humour and all that , and our support was great in the 2nd half a real shame the childish booing at the end ruined it.

You keep going on about this mate and it happened at half time as well which is bloody stupid tbh, luckily it wasn't everyone in the ground as the majority just looked bemused when it happened!
I can understand at half time as a gee-up to the players but the second half was much better and we at least fought for it.

There's just such a little goal threat from our midfield, if the teams just mark Aguero out the game there's a good chance we won't score.

Feel it was an annoying game but very thankful we got the draw at least.
Mistakes happen and I'm confident we will improve, but unfortunate at the moment; last game had lots and another bad one today: Stones just didn't make sure of the pass, and so cruel to have his goal disallowed later. The goal we did get was really nice. Lovely long pass Fernandinho, excellent control from Sané and another important goal for Kelechi. What I found most annoying probably is that we looked much better almost all the game, but as Pep has said we need to take our chances. I enjoyed a lot of our play, don't think anyone had a bad game, but we just need to score more to win more. Anyway it was really really good to see Kompany back and dominating, until the end I'll believe he can play a big part. Sterling was impressive especially towards the end, ran direct to try to score but for his strength, skill and getting the assist my motm is Leroy.

I personally wouldnt boo if we were bottom 3 or top of the league...I love this team good and bad!;) What we cant forget tho, is that we top of the league because of what we did at the start of the season. We've been a different team the last 5 games and it needs to change fast or we wont be top of the league for long.....
Individual errors are costing us. I'd be a lot more worried if we were being outplayed every week.

We are now attracting rag like new fans. These feckers don't understand the dirge we've seen in comparison.

the midfield doesn't necessarily need goal threat, we need more goals from the wings. Iniesta, Rakitic and Busquets for Barca are hardly goal machines.

Sounds like Pep having a few words...

The players are yet to leave the dressing room over 40 minutes after full time. Pep not happy with their performance. [@StuBrennanMEN]
Don't blame him. The players collectively were comatosed in the first half and played like it was a friendly training session. It shouldn't require a half time tongue lashing to get them to run and pass quickly, and press the opposition. If we had started like that we would have won that game.

Yeah but their attack includes Messi Neymar and Suarez so that's irrelevant.

City fans have always booed. Not a new thing.

5 games without a win! Average teams making us look very average! Aguero isnt the same striker, at the moment, that we've all come to love...dont know whats up but he struggling and its hurting the team...

Moving Sane and Sterling at half time improved us in the 2nd half...
Can't class Barcelona or Spurs,as average teams and think you are reading too much into the aguero situation,to be honest Southampton for all the media love in looked ordinary, think aguero and Nolito getting three match bans had thrown our momentum out a bit,but fully expect us to be back on song now they are back.
