City v Saints post match

it's pointless to play with 5, 6 midfield.
when their option is to play sideways and back passing.
same like against barca with no striker. just playing tippy tappy sideways.
only a matter of time the ball get rob in our own half.
or make just one mistake which could decide the game, like stones and bravo blunder.
put more men forward. sterling should stay near half line when defending.
he's so effective with his speed when he got space.
play tiki taka on opponents half, not near our own penalty box.
bring the ball out our defensive line as soon as possible.
City are not passing/possession master like Barca, not yet.

Concise and to the point , it was tired first half display , end of

Correct , do you want to join my York City away breakaway forum :)

Show those Americans what true support is.

Stuart Brennan just said Pep has just come out of the dressing room with a face like thunder. Pep is as displeased as the fans from the sounds of it.

I am struggling to see ANY improvement either in terms of points gained or performances over last season.

And we've gone backwards in Europe to 2011 levels.

The thing is we can all say it's a work in progress season and we'll be better next year or two but he's only here for 3 seasons max and if we don't come out of this run in the next few games this season will have got away from him.

Managers have been sacked for letting opportunities like this one he has at city get away from them.

That was unacceptable. I can accept players being off form after Champions League in midweek. Happens all the time, but the lack of effort in the 1st half was a joke.

And why wasn't Nolito on for Sane earlier. Why no 1st half subs

Very annoyed with that. I don't want to see a repeat of that again. Only good points: Tavern, and Vinny getting back.

Players like Silva, De Bruyne, Gundogan, Aguero have to step up.

WBA (A), Middlesbrough (H), Palace (A), Burnley (A) our next 4 games. Obviously no easy games in PL but those are 4 games where I'd expect us to sort out our form.

A win against United midweek would go some way to remedying the slump, arguably it's come at a good time for us (horrible form but if we win it then it could "fix" us).

We are now attracting rag like new fans. These feckers don't understand the dirge we've seen in comparison.
I'm pretty sure a lot of it is from old fans that have a new sense of self-entitlement. Do they think booing is going to have any positive effect for the club? All they succeed in doing is making themselves look like a bunch of spoilt babies.

They're gonna end up making us look like Arsenal fans if it becomes a regular thing. Bewildering people have booed a draw with a good side, with Pep at the helm - you didn't hear that for much worse results and difficult periods in the past! Pep proved in '09 when he had a similar rut in form, that it's to be expected when building for success.

A labored point is better than none.....
Curious if the 3 in back is too much too soon on the learning scale?'
Simple it up and play harder?
Too many touches in their box for me
They were too well organized for that IMO

Top of the league with a ton of company!
Vinny didn't limp off has to be a plus
Fernandinho shored up the back well in the second half
Still a long way to go but we're going the wrong way

I save my booing for Uefa, however i do miss the Swales days and a chorus of "what he fuck is going on"

First half particularly was dire. Terribly flat atmosphere capped off by gifting them a goal with yet another calamatious mix up at the back. Second half improved to a fair degree and with a nicely taken goal by Kelechi but we still looked miles off where we need to be. Three at the back was hopeless. No one able to get forward to support Sterling or Sane - bringing Navas on allowed him and Kolarov to at least advance well forward. Gundogan - what does he offer ? Might as well have Yaya back in there because this guy passes it 10 yards sideways all the time. Doesn't offer or show when Bravo has it and dangles a leg out in the 50-50s. Aguero running into blind alleys and hardly ever looks up to play a team mate it. Kelechi looked much more up for it when he came in and linked up much better with Sterling and Sane. No win in 5 - can't say they didn't earn their point today and ifyou want to illustrate playing the ball out from the back with pace and precision they went the length of the field about 10 mins from the end with a cross that was begging to be turned in at the far post. It was the best piece of football all game. Shame our fans only get vocal when they complain about timewasting too. First half you could have heard the proverbial pin drop.
