City v Saints post match

Pep's working on it and we'll win the next run of league games. Flappers will then stop flapping and have to find something else to moan about.

CB level 3 today, only booing was against the time wasting from S,ton. Sloppy prtformance, looked like a patched up side though we weren't.

Expectations of Pep are too high. A little reassessment is required by many fans. He knows what he is doing and will prevail ultimately.
He does tell us that it's a work in progress, and there will be struggles and time to implement his ideologies.
As you state though, top of the league still. We have some good winnable games coming up and I'm sure we will get the thrusters firing for those....just. Cut out the gifting of goals to the opposition and we will come good.
I would love to know what battles are being fought behind the scenes though...there must be a few players struggling to work with the intensity that Pep demands.

yep and spurs and arsenal also dropped points this weekend. going to be a long season and we were never going to walk it

we could live with it if we were being outplayed, but were not and its school boy errors that's frustrating everyone. is getting similar to last year and I think people are just worried that it will end up the same result. might be top but we've played the easiest games compared to those just under us. we needed a buffer of a few points because December in particular is a tough month. if we don't improve we could be well of the pace by the new year

It is early days we have great players and a brilliant manager .we got of to a great start .the last few games we have made our own problems .but we still top of the league .

Nolito and KI offer so much pace, energy, desire and enthusiasm that seems to be missing at the moment.
We must move the ball faster, not just sideways. We are reluctant to capitalise on overload situations and seem to insist on 1 or two more passes.
STOP TRYING TO WALK THE BALL INTO THE NET!!!
If the players are struggling to deal with the intensity and tactics that Pep wants, feel free to request a transfer.

Pep said we would struggle, he said we weren't playing that well, he said we'd lose games - and no one believed him when we were 10/10.

Fact is the team is adjusting to the biggest shake up any of them will ever go through.

4 of our starting XI today only joined the club 10 weeks ago.

Kompany and Sané were making their first start of the season.

KDB is just coming off an injury as well.

It was only the second time we'd tried 3 at the back.

Is it really surprising we played badly today if you really think about it?
Couldn't say it any better.

Embarrassing the fans who were booing yesterday...absolute spoilt brats a lot of the city fans nowadays booing the team and pep after a few dodgy results.
Didn't hear any one booing when we won the first 10 games, now after a few dodgy results you want boo and create negativity.what a joke.
We are playing a new high risk style of football with a lot of passing out from the back,of course we are going to have a few dodgy moments/results it's still very early days give it time.
Let Pep build his team and get them used and comfortable to how he wants to play without booing them every time we have bad result.
Got arguably the best most exciting manager in the world with a fantastic young team, the fans who boo just don't bother going to games, stay at home your just spoilt new age city fans who just want instant success and glory constantly your an embarrassment to the club.
Rant over lol.

once again.

they were booing the Southampton tactics and especially the keeper.
Can't understand why it takes until the 90th minute to book a goalkeeper for time wasting when he has been doing it since the 1st minute. Book him early on and he won't do it again.

Seem to be a fair few on here not happy with the tactics. It doesn't matter what tactics you play if many of your team can't pass a few balls together and have forgotten how to press. I feel he was massively let down by the players yesterday. Credit to Southampton. They came to play anti football and walk away with a point. They did that, and it was one of the worst games I've watched for a while.

Couldn't say it any better.

Despite that we created enough in our half to win the game but lack of finishing cost us again as it did against Celtic, Everton , Tottenham and Barcelona.

The mistake by Stones which he appears prone to doing from time to time has to be got out of his game as its Sunday School stuff to be honest.

We lack confidence in moving the ball forward at speed at present and that has to change or we will continue to struggle to win games even against opposition we should defeat easily.

5 games without a win is just not good enough no matter how you dress it and missing 5 penalties already is just unprofessional.

As for Pep's comments about blips I didn't think the side would take that on board as if it were matter of fact.

Our finishing and build up play getting players into scoring positions and being clinical has not been up to scratch of late.

Mistakes at the back for much of the season reminds me of how we were under the previous manager.

I expect improvement in both areas but again no clean sheets means no wins when you are struggling up front.

Mostly Agree.
Keeping posession seems more important to the players than scoring. It's been the same since the start of the season though. It's just that opposition tactics have evolved to exploit this. Coupled with a slight deterioration in tempo by the players, the effect is currently what we are seeing.

We were wank in the first half but I actually think we played well second half.

Ref's got to be stronger with the time wasting and add 7 minutes on though.

They celebrated their goal for two minutes in the first half and time wasted every goal kick and throw in yet only two minutes were added on before half time.

Then Iheanacho was praying to his God (much to the dismay of David Silva who told him to hurry the fuck up and get playing again) for ages - from goal to kick off I bet nearly a minute had gone by, all 6 subs were used and they even took the piss with Tadic's fake substitution (should be 30 seconds for each of those so that should have been an extra 3+half minutes with Tadic added too), then all their time wasting every goal kick and throw in (I timed one goal kick that took 47 seconds and one throw in that took 25secs)... there should have been about 7 minutes on at the end of that game yesterday.
