Celtic game - strict security measures announced (page 34)

Some people hate
Some people don't
That's the way the world is
Anyway is the celtic game nearly a sell out

Spend a lot of time in Scotland...mostly Glasgow and Ayrshire/Dumfrieshire. Almost exclusively in the company of Rangers fans. Never ever had an issue...Watched Eng v Sco in the Rangers supporters club here in Florida..and most of them seemed to want Scotland to get a humping anyway.

Totally agree mate. It's usually the closested Lancastrian Brexiteers who don't know any foreigners who hate them the most, because they don't know any.

Or those whose grandad was in the forces so it makes them feel important and they can just casually insult whole countries or races because they think it's their birth-right.

Racism, xenophobia, predjuice against any country is borne of ignorance and misinformation. It doesn't stand up to intellectual scrutiny. It's just ignorance fuelled by a closeted upbringing.
Again you're building a strawman. No one on this thread has said they hate any nation.

It won't sell out, but we should pull around 50K. Not bad.

Think there will be more locals this time, as opposed to Barcelona at home.

Expecting a better atmosphere than BMGB, which was good.

Did you see Wales celebrate England getting knocked out of the Euros Jim. I've heard Welsh RU fans giving us English dogs abuse after a game, even though you lot were playing Ireland lol. It's no big deal.

Please don't assume I like egg because I despise it. I'm football then boxing.

Admittedly, I did laugh when Iceland beat England but it was mainly because their performance was just so bad. I watched it in a pub in East London that was full of England fans. They were playing pool by 60 minutes.

I'm not one of those fans who takes more pleasure at their rivals losing than themselves winning. All I want is for my teams (City, Hereford and Wales) to win.

Wales has been considered the ginger haired step-brother of the UK for years. My dad hated it here.

Again you're building a strawman. No one on this thread has said they hate any nation.

I don't think Nick Griffin would say he hates every single person from a particular nation. Nor would Nigel Ferage, or Donald Trump, or you or anyone else in the thread for that matter.

But that wasn't my point.

And I imagine you know full well that wasn't my point.

You're trying to strawman me!

My point was that racism or xenophobia or discrimination based on country of birth, whatever way you want to dress it up, doesn't stand up to intellectual scrutiny. I stand by that 100%. It's prejudice based on fear and a misguided upbringing. Sorry if that's inconvenient for you.

Might want to remove that chip from your shoulder and get back on topic.

Lot's of shit on here, and I can't be done with the 'I don't like the Welsh, French or double bloody dutch' for all I care.

You take people as you find them.

I've been all over the world, and peeps are universally friendly and welcoming, as I am when I meet visitors to our city.

Some keyboard warriors ought to get out more and experience the real world we live in.

Jeez, a country with how many million people living in it, and they don't like a single, solitary person living there?

Do me a favour.
The French are ****s to a man though.
