Gundogan - Back training 26th June '17

Does anyone know how the Watford player who went off in the 1st half is? The way he got injured seemed to be very similar in that he went down after an innocuous looking twist, got back up and hobbled round for a bit then went down again and limped off. If he has done his ACL as well then it seems a like a hell of a coincidence that 2 players picked up the same very serious injury in roughly the same area of the pitch within 10 minutes of each other.
I think you have struck on something there. There is a rogue patch of malicious turf

Poor guy, great player.

This is terrible for us, last years midfield, last years defence, not very good. Cant see anybody coming in on the transfer window January.

If the rumours of an ACL injury are true, then it could be 6-9months before he back match fit, no way he back this season. Even worse as its the same knee....feel sorry for the lad but we got to decide what to do now....do we need to buy a replacement?

Jesus Christ. Feel so bad for Gundo. Still remember how enthusiastic and happy he was in his first City video :(

Yes we do unless we feel Garcia is the answer

Problem is who as January hard to buy

Isco maybe

ACL injury is season ending. No wonder he was so upset, I did mine 20 years ago and played on for ten minutes before collapsing in the most pain I have ever experienced. Hopefully with modern day techniques he should be able to return next season. Pep will have to consider a replacement because the likes of Delph are nowhere near the standard of Ilkay. Shame we only saw glimpses of the real Gundogan this season, hope next year we will.

This makes sending Samir Nasri out on loan seem even worse of a decision than it already was given the fact that City knew about Gundogan's injury record.

I knew it was bad as soon as he cried on the pitch. Probably cried not because of the pain, but he knew what the injury meant and how much time he's going to miss, even more so that he just got back. Fuck.

Never seen Fabian and Aleix in the same room. Just saying.

So, provided they are two different people, our options will be:

Delph
Garcia
Fernando
Fernandinho
Yaya
Zabaleta

Anyone else?

In a Pep team, potentially Silva, DeBruyne, Kolarov as well. It would require the team to be playing well & covering for each other or otherwise be extreme danger but in a fully functioning Pep side, no problem.

As a wild card, Kongolo.

Stones of course.
