Hull (a) Post Match Thread

I think your absolutely spot on. I've also said it in the past because it's very noticeable. We lack a real leader with grit and can play. As you say, Bonucci I feel fits that mould as does Kompany. Unfortunately we have neither at the moment. When we do I think the whole side will move up a level.

I totally agree too, we are definitely lacking a leader who will drive us forward. Back in the day we had kompany, Barry, tevez etc who were all different kinds of leaders. These days our leaders are more on the fringes and still part of the old guard; kompany, zab, yaya. Give me a vieira or dare I say it a Roy Keane and this team wouldn't be 7 points behind!

Yaya delivered again. Still most influential player imho when he's on it

An exquisite pass to sterling for the third goal but id would put a special mention for sterling stepped up past few games and dare i say won us the game today long may it continue.

Are you going to ask for a ban again? It's obvious what my point is..
Well john stones did well today when he was on, and we have also won 3 without aguero. So number 1, did john stones not playing make any difference? Probably not. 2. Should we get rid of sergio too?

Just back.....special mention for Otamendi....but MOTM for me was Silva.
The game changing moment was Nacho coming on, until that moment Hull`s defenders had nothing to contend with.

Sergio wins us games. John Stones has cost us games this season and is a liability. Before the witches of eastwick flap again, for what it's worth, I thought we played really well tonight.

Had we lost with Stones playing poorly, criticism would be due.

Which is odd because De Bruyne had to tell him where to run for his goal.

Indeed, but overall it was the sub that opened it up.

Kev had a great game once the change was made, until then we could only get yaya going and he looked very frustrated about the movement ahead of him.

No need to ask for a ban when i can just issue one is there?

I will rephrase my question a little for you. After a great away win, 3-0 that sends us 2nd, have you anything positive to add or is it just another chance for you to have a go at a City player, albeit in a bit of a sly and shit way imo?

Witches of eastwick....hilarious.

First half poor. Not better 2nd half but so was Hull. After the penalty we bossed them. Never looked like we would win by this margin but I'll happily take it.

Pep's pep talk vs Pool will be easy:
Play like 2nd half versus Arsenal and we win. Play like the 1st half versus Hull and we get beat. Your choice ...

The worst part of the game was when Kolarov was coming on for Fernandinho, and the latter went limping over to the sideline with Stones on the floor.

Marshall seem to have everything well under control until the KdB shot, and Bravo seemed lost at sea for a couple of occasions. It looked a pen, but seen them not given a lot (especially away), and after Yaya took responsibility to score the changes Hull made just opened them up and it was game over.

I reckon Kelechi was making that run anyway and the point was more to emphasise to the defenders to cover centrally so he could pass to the right! Worked a treat too and Kelechi did well to stay onside.
