Aguero's back, Touré's on form, one conceded in three games- there's absolutely no reason why we can't win this one.

Bravo
Sagna
Otamendi
Kolarov
Clichy
Touré
Fernandinho
De Bruyne
Silva
Sterling
Aguero

Caballero, Zabaleta, Stones, Fernando, Nolito, Sané, Iheanacho

Personally I'd start Sané- he'd tear Milner to shreds- but I don't see De Bruyne or Silva being dropped.

I'm going with an optimistic 1-2, Aguero and Sterling to score hopefully.

I think it will be that team with Sane in for Aguero.

Unfortunately the lad completely capitulated at Victimpool last season.

From the moment Flanagan dumped him on his arse in the first minute he not only couldn't cope, he didn't want to know & hid for the entire first half. He certainly wasn't mentaly strong that night, hopefully he'll cross the barrier on Monday.

Go Razza.

Anfield's one of the most difficult grounds to go to in the world of football and has been for a very long time. Absolutely Sterling completely went missing last season but that's happened to plenty of much bigger and much more experienced players. That's not really a reason to say he's mentally weak. Especially given the earlier examples i gave you of why his mental strength and character are quite evident.

I regard this as a bit of a free hit. We all hope we'll win but not many expect it. If the worst comes to the worst we're only 4 points behind this incredible, all-conquering, footballing machine having played them away with the home game to come and whilst we have been undergoing a major transition and from which we will hopefully improve as the season goes on.

Furthermore, we're not too far behind on goals scored despite them being the finest example of attacking football since they led the way in 2013/14.

So, if we play as we can, and do get something out of this, we'll finish above them without a shadow of a doubt. I think we will anyway.

I reckon Pep's going to go balls deep. Bravo, Sagna, Ota, Kola, Clichy, Fernandinho, Silva, De Bruyne, Sterling, Sane, Aguero. Bang. 2 - 4 City.

False 9 is the way to go here. And supporting roles KdB, Sterling, Silva, Yaya, Fernandinho.

Depending on how klopp changes his attacks, Sterling and KdB switching sides and Yaya and Fernandino switching depths. Silva and Aguero on floating no 10 roles. We really cannot stick to one static formation we need to keep them guessing and have a go at the space left by Milner he's not as fast as before to get back into his position.

Absolutely 100% agree. I'm a believer in horses for courses and City wins at Anfield are as rare as good refereeing performances at the Etihad. As long as we don't get a damaging heavy defeat we'll be fine.

I'd take a draw to be honest. Don't have much confidence in this team beating the bin dippers in their backyard.

Going to be extremely hard for us. Don't think we'll be able to live with their energy and press. They will hound our back four and ultimately we'll have to play the long ball to Aguero. Think we'll lose this 3-1.

Worried about this one - got Spurs & Leicester written all over this. They will be swarming all over us - just need to be clever enough to counter their press. Sterling, KDB, Sane & Aguero - Not a game for Yaya

Anfield is by far our worst away ground in terms of wins. I hate playing there, I'm never confident! We just seem to be totally naive when we go there and play totally into their hands. The Leicester game the other week should prove an example of how you need specific tactics and plans for certain games!

What Liverpool do isn't rocket science but there just very good at it! If and it's and almighty IF our big players turn up then we can beat them.
For me winning there is up there with winning at the swamp!

Sane must start and hopefully rip Milner a new arsehole, the full back areas are their weakness so we must exploit it.

Their whole defence is a weakness - they were scared shitless by Walters and Crouch for most of that first half. And Mignolet is a very nervy and unreliable keeper when under any form of pressure.

But .. when they hit their stride they pass and move brilliantly well. If we start the first half like we have other games this season they will be three up in the first half hour.

If we are all over them and get at their backline and keeper then we can win this. Who knows what sort of team Pep will put out (wouldn't put it past him to go 3-2-4-1 but what they hell do I know) - sure as hell though whoever is out there has to be switched on and full of energy straight from the kick off.

We need to go in to this game like we did at Old Trafford in September, if we do that we'll murder that ropy defence of theirs.

It's easy to overstate the importance of fixtures, but I feel our whole season may very well turn on this game.

I'm not particularly stymied by previous history when predicting the outcome of games; records get broken eventually - the away Derby in 2008 was one of the most unevenly matched in recent history and we went there and won for the first time in 34 years. When we won at Anfield in 1981, Liverpool were much the better team on paper. What's gone before amounts to next to fuck all in my eyes.

Pep needs a break-out game to properly stamp his identity on this league and this is the perfect opportunity - as well as a means of sending out a strong, confident message to Chelsea that the second half of the season won't be an exercise is capitulation, like 2015 was.

It would be really helpful if Bravo had a big game on Saturday too.

I'm going 3-1 to City.

Yes it is!

Easy to overstate overstate the importance of fixtures :)

I think Liverpool is the best football team I have seen playing this season. They are explosive and aggressive. Sure they can sometimes be sluggish at the back. But they play football at a higher peak than anyone else in the league.

It's going to be a tough one. Could we win? Sure. Is it likely? No.
