so if looks like Jezza would like a maximum wage law and said:

Corbyn, who earns about £138,000 a year, later told Sky News he anticipated any maximum wage would be “somewhat higher than that”.

I think the salaries paid to some footballers are simply ridiculous, some salaries to very high earning top executives are utterly ridiculous. Why would someone need to earn more than £50m a year?”

The Labour leader, who is an Arsenal fan, said he thought his team’s manager Arsène Wenger “would probably like it very much indeed, he’d probably like there to be a maximum wage cap on the whole of the Premier League”.

So would you agree with any maximum pay law and what would be the top limit you'd want?

as long as people pay all the taxes they are liable for, whats the problem. he's just a jealous idiot

Politics of envy. Let's impose a salary cap and therefore reduce tax revenue with it! Great idea! Further proof the man is a monumental shitwit!

I think that the vast majority of people would agree that the salaries of some CEO has spiralled out of control and that's not the politics of envy it's just plain an simple greed. Having an arbitrary wage cap for the top earners is not feasible or workable. A good point that was mooted by May (when she had a bit of a rush of blood to the head moment) and then she completely backtracked on would be having a proper employee representation on the salary rewards committee. Every organisation is different and some CEO work a damn site harder than others. But having proper checks and balances would be where I would start this process.

Typical socialist envy merchant, everything is directed at anyone who's making a few quid, get money off those who've
already earned it, never any plans for stimulating earnings, just tax the fuck out of everything.
He still believes you can make the poor rich by making the rich poor, it comes with never having a proper job,
and this sort of hackneyed nonsense was debunked decades ago.

He's an idiot. I really wanted to like Corbyn as a lot of what he believes in I can get behind, but statements like this make him un-electable to most people. Even if you earned no where near this imaginary cap, would you support the idea of others not being able to earn more if they've worked for it?

Companies who HQ themselves in the UK would move abroad so fast if this ever came close to being discussed officially. I understand that he's trying to bridge the inequality gap, but you surely do this by upping the lowest wages rather than limiting the highest. There should be a stronger floor to protect people from not being able to live rather than putting a cap on what people can earn. As manygoose says, so long those earning stupid salaries to start with are paying their taxes and spending their money then who cares?

So not the politics of greed then whilst the top earners earn a 1000 times more than the average worker who we the shitwit tax payer subsidises through tax credits?

I see his agenda...6th form political rhetoric, designed to get Dianne Abbot fizzing....go jezza1
