When the next government get in will they take it down? in my lifetime I can certainly envisage BBC news coverage of Lily Allen and Gary Linear attacking the wall with hammers - a bit like teh Berlin wall coverage. Every time there is a change of government it could go up and then back down. Would be good for the contractors.

But carrots won't become that expensive as people wouldn't pay those prices. They'll just eat more peas ;-)

I'm quite sure our future generation won't not be faced with a carrot-less future. The vast majority of other vegetables and fruits haven't become obsolete or only affordable by the wealthy, irrespective of the labour force used.

I think the how is still open to debate. Donald being Donald knows that even though you sign executive orders this doesn't mean it happens. Just look at Obama.

Donald wants to be able to say it wasn't my fault. I tried. This time he has the luxury of majorities in both houses so he has less of an argument.

The wall is being quoted as being extremely technically difficult would cost upward of £20b, plus billions to build access roads, man and maintain it.

Trump knows this but by posturing and signing exec orders he knows his fanatics will not look beyond the headline and as the how question.

They don't care.

Shitstorm season has begun and with every word he utters, the situation worsens. His latest move to effectively remove America from the UN is another sign that an utter deluded egotistical bully has been voted in because he appealed to the worst of human nature......and promised jobs.

The above is a fascinating article perhaps showing one of the reasons Trump/Brexit ended up happening.

A model for predicting personalities based on Facebook likes was adopted by a marketing company which was able to predict whether people were susceptible to Trump's message and send them targeted ads based on what their personality type is responsive too. It also did the opposite for people who it thought were likely Clinton voters but could be persuaded not to vote by playing on her negatives.

I think the wall is a fucking stupid idea and Trump is a bell end.

But regarding the wall being expensive, are American companies and workers being used? If so then in real terms, it's only gonna help the US economy and is better the benefit payments.

Knowing Trump it will go like this, and it shows what nonsense the whole idea is anyway. He has a 50 foot high fence built. Next day, one of his companies start selling 51 foot ladders, and they will be the most awesome ladders anyone has ever seen, such great ladders.
