LOL...You mean thousands of foreigners, notwithstanding what the Swedes are doing and what Trump is doing are completely different, you're implying the difference is only in the numbers, because we lefties want big numbers of foreigners, right? Presumably to copulate with white women to create a coffee coloured world and undermine white culture, or whatever the fucking right wing nut job thinking is these days, so, if you follow that perverse logic to its conclusion, commie bastards like me should be angrier with the Swedes than we are with Trump.

T.L. If the question facing me was purely about economics then I would take the advice of an economist. The situation in which we find ourselves, with a dangerous egomaniac in control of the Whitehouse is another question altogether. Economics is only a small part of that question.
Fake news, the poor refugees and dispossessed, the continued bombing of seven countries, the fact that American citizens kill more Americans than any terrorist atrocities, the policies of fear and control etc, etc, etc.
These are things that are being addressed in part by the astute Chicago Blue and on that basis I do value his opinion over the myopic accountant.
I hope that you can understand what is going on and oppose the autocrat who is now Mr. President.

I loathe injustice on any scale, but I sometimes feel myself being 'pushed' towards the right of centre because of the intransigence and blind faith some people have with the 'left of politics'.

We in the western world ( by a quirk of fate) are so lucky for so many reasons. Most people I know, if not all,are very happy to use our good fortune to help the less fortunate so allow us to do with it in the best way we can.

Trying to label people like me as right wing, nationalist, capitalist, none sensitive numskulls is so so wrong.

You don't need to wear a daft hat like Corbyn to hold the moral high ground.
 
I don't think all of his policies are fucked ( a lot of them are though) it's him personally, he's just a ****......and his choice of VP confirms this

That's the genius of it though. Choose a vice president that's even more of a prick than you are and you guarantee that your own party won't impeach you. Because let's be honest, nobody in the Republican party actually likes him and they'd probably impeach at the first hint of an opportunity.

People talk so much bullshit about protesters not caring about other issues and focusing too much on America's problems. There are a couple of obvious reasons for that. Firstly, American media pushes American issues to the forefront in a way that Chinese media or Saudi media doesn't. And secondly, they are our ally, and supposedly a secular democracy that respects human rights. But let's not pretend there weren't massive protests when the Chinese dictator game for a state visit, or when the Saudi king had his arse kissed in public for the sake of a few trade deals. Does anyone imagine there wouldn't be a petition if there was a planned state visit by Putin, or Netanyahu, or Lukashenko, or any number of others? Hell, there was controversy that the Sultan of Brunei got an invite to the royal wedding.

Are you on some sort of medication? if not I think maybe you should consider it, you seem close to the edge with your ramblings and I'm genuinely concerned mate, why do you feel so much hatred/aghast/repulsion to people that have a different view to things than you, your starting to become a parody of yourself with your right wing leftist views and your intolerance levels really are off the chart, you're morphing into the people you claim to despise.
I don't feel insulted in anyway mate I've been called far worse things it's like water of a ducks back but for you to consider insults as a first response is quite strange and not something I would consider from a true liberal
