England v Brazil | Friendly | Match Thread

As far as I am aware Southgate‘s contract runs until December. We should all pray for England to win the Euros this summer, because if they do he will probably leave ‘on a high’ and the the rags won’t be able to resist appointing a ’born winner’. Happy days, they get a useless wanker and England...

Obviously Scruffy Jim is a very successful business man, but I think the Glazers have had him over on this deal. He’s paid about £1.3 billion for 25% of the rags but has assumed all the responsibility for running the football side of the club. So the Glazers cop for a sizeable amount of dosh but...

I see Rasmus Bradbury failed to score again, imagine the shit that’d be thrown at us if we’d spent £72m on a striker who can’t score

The first ever football game you watched

My Dad took me to see City v Arsenal at home in Feb 1968 as a 8 year old, drew 1-1. We went to most of the home games after that and also the 4-3 win at Newcastle to win the league. As we all know we then went on a trophy spree for the next few years and as a kid I thought 'this is great'...

    Everton Thread - 2023/24

I posted in this thread pre season and said they should have got rid of Dyche after keeping them up and got a proper manager in to have a chance of survival. Sadly they didn’t and the bald dinosaur is taking them down and when he does its going to be a long way back.

I said it when he kept them up, they should have got rid of Dyche. A club the size of Everton deserves much better than this footballing dinosaur, signing Ashley Young just about sums him up. He’s going to turn them into Burnley and take them down this season.

Istanbul CL Final chaos | City Matters statement (p 133)

We got the Metro to the ground after seeing the queue at Yenikapi for the buses, it was quick, easy and no mither from Inter fans. Unfortunately because I was so knackered after two heavy days, after the game we decided not to do the the long walk back to the Metro and get the bus, big fuckin...

If Everton want to reach the dizzy heights Burnley reached under Dyche (which ended in relegation) then by all means keep him, but I’m sure Everton have loftier ambitions than scrapping for survival every season, or at least they should have.

If they manage to stay up the first thing they should do is get rid of Dyche. If they keep him it’ll be the same again next season I’m afraid.

    VAR thread 2022/23

If they played the audio at the stadium at the time of the incident i'd be more inclined to believe them. If they have the audio of the Pickford assault from yesterday i'd be interested to hear what exactly was said, I was at Goodison aan it looked like they didnt even review it.

He wasn’t on his own tonight. Joe Cole is a walking talking moron, but Gerrard topped them all by describing someone as a ‘duck out of water’. The standard of pundits at the moment is absolute garbage.
