    Best band you've seen live?

World of Twist at the Sheffield Leadmill around Xmas 1990. Not so much for WoT (who were great), but for the local support band, the little known Pulp. Jarvis was on form with lots of sardonic interaction with the audience, including responding to our drunken calls for him to 'get his shirt...

This comment on the Brentford forum made me chuckle - 'City have had more possession than The Exorcist' .

    TV Series

I've watched the 2 episodes that are out. Pretty decent up to now although the CGI is horrible at times. You do wonder where the 300M budget went. The lead actor is a bit of a pretty boy, probably there to try and pull in a wider audience. Action scenes are well done though. RAF pilots are...

    Last Film You Saw

Set just after the end of WW2 so you're correct.

    Last Film You Saw

Thanks for the heads-up, I'll watch that this week.

    Last Film You Saw

Godzilla Minus One. Bit overrated this one, too much human drama and not enough action, which is odd coming from me as action films tend to bore me. Metaphor heavy with a definite thematic undercurrent of Japan coming to terms with its cruel imperial past, and lack of value for human life...

    Holidays

Can anyone recommend a good destination for a family, well I say family it's just me and my 2 boys aged 7 and 9. We went on an all Inc to Kos last year, Mitsis Blue Domes resort, had an amazing time, although I think i was the only single dad in the whole bloody complex. My boys are at an age...

    The Treble Merchandise

UPS had tried to deliver twice this week, was out both times. I rescheduled for Monday delivery but they tried again today anyway and luckily I was in. Looks class, will stay in the box. Wish the outer box was gate-fold as it would be nice to display the shirt on a shelf or sideboard. Better...

    Last Film You Saw

Such a great horror, possibly my favourite of the past decade. Filmed in only 21 days, and the budget 50% UK funded. The scene in the cave though...jaysus.

Nottingham Forest (H) | Sat 23rd Sept | PL | Post Match Thread

In a perverse way I enjoyed that more than a jeopardy free 3 or 4 nil stroll. Maybe our game management could have been better but was a proper work-out for the defence. Ake and Gvardiol excellent in the second half. Great save when it matters from Ederson.

Well I can see from that performance why Pep hasn't trusted Kalvin with more minutes. Pretty dreadful performance from him - gave the ball away countless times, poor decision-making to take players on when a simple pass was the better option, looked slow as f**k, poor in the press. We need...

F**k me, based off that interview he's going to make a great future manager. Incredibly articulate and providing in depth answers to difficult questions in a second language. An intelligent footballer on the pitch, and equally erudite off it.

    Last Film You Saw

Talk to Me, debut film from a couple of Aussie YouTube channel-owning brothers. If that doesn't sound promising don't fear as it's actually a half-decent horror, a genre where the pickings have been pretty thin recently. It's a novel take on the possession theme, where shaking the...
