Something in your first car that isn't in your current car

The removable steering wheel - only security precaution I had for it. Physical handbrake lever, gearstick, clutch pedal, weird handle things that made the windows go up and down

Antoine Semenyo | Prefers to join City - Ornstein (p73)

About time someone mentioned the quadruple for them. Nice cranking up of the pressure.

Antoine Semenyo | Prefers to join City - Ornstein (p73)

He played David Silva and KdB together with three in front. That line up scraped it's way to the 100 point safety mark as well. It would be risky against the top teams but would certainly give options to open up those sitting deep as well as a lot of pace on the break

Looking forward to the Arse fans coming out of their latest own goal win to discover that we're about to strengthen for the important half of the season. Merry Christmas, Tarquin

West Ham PL (H) |Man of the Match

Nunes. Pace and strength at full back, including staying on his feet - he's definitely learning the position. He was the one who drove us forward when he moved into midfield, creating the 3rd, although he tired like the rest.

Enzo Maresca "high among candidates" to replace Guardiola if he leaves next summer

If he does, the speculation will be insane. He could sign a 10 year deal and the narrative would be that he's not committed to stay beyond 2036. Maybe BBC Verify should try fact checking the sports department

    Liverpool ticket touts sentenced

They have to live and work in Liverpool, so you can't blame them for trying to get something out of it

    Pensions

That means less in retirement though. The difficulty is not knowing how the markets will perform or how long you'll live. An option is an annuity, but that guarantees you've got none of it left at the end which is less useful if you've got kids/charity you were wanting to leave a legacy to...

    Pensions

They do get a percentage of assets under management i e. the more you've got, the more they get, but any decent advisor should be encouraging them to spend it, even if only giving to their kids to avoid potential tax. That said, they may be, but spending 'savings' when you've lived your whole...

    Happy York (A) day

If only we'd had Viagogo then, maybe I'd have made it. I was 436,781st in the phone queue but they sold out 2 people ahead of me as there was a family over from Spain who bought the last tickets

Enzo Maresca "high among candidates" to replace Guardiola if he leaves next summer

Weird that the BBC take on what he said is slightly different, missing out the 75 or 76 and just going with the sooner or later bit. You'd have think they'd have learnt to not edit quotes...

    Pensions

Will be changing to 57 in another 18 months or so. They've set it as state pension minus 10, but hopefully the individual pension age will be allowed to remain as the state pension inevitably increases

Generally, in pure financial terms, paying off the mortgage is the wrong decision, however there is something about doing it that makes us happy. You've not got long left on your mortgage and you'll only be 52 when it's paid off, so unless it's got an unreasonably high interest rate, I'd just...

We had plenty of water, we'd just cut the pipes at Saddleworth
