As a FOC I remember the first song I heard on the Kippax.
The blues are here to stay - that's what the people say
We are the best football team the world has ever seen
We're from the Kippax Street - and we are magnifique
tra la la la la la la la la la la la la.
I think we also sung it when at...
Dowd
Book
Pardoe
Booth
Doyle
Oakes
Summerbee
Bell
Lee
Young
Coleman
I think that was the team. 1 to 11
Was my first Wembley and remember most of it even after 50 years
Also remember even though we won a Leicester player got man of the match which was quite an honour back then
I also seem to recollect that a player looked in front of sun for the second goal and was offside. He stooped when son shot and that could be interpreted as distracting the goalkeeper.VAR should look at all goals if it is to be used to it’s true potential.
Rugby League is far in advance and...
I was at school in 1966 and almost all the kids were plastic scum. All you ever got were Bobby Charlton and England are great. A small group of us, you know the type, always the rebels decided to go to Maine rd and stuff the rest. I went to many a game with Alan Taylor and have fond memories of...
I am a big fan of rugby league and it really is a case of the video ref having to find a reason to overrule the refs decision. Sadly this won't happen if football. I think the only way to to check offside is having a microchip in the front and back of a players shirt that can be compared to...
My first derby. I had never been in a crowd that big. The atmosphere was electric. I was in the Kippax with my mate Alan Taylor, now sadly no longer with us. Both of us came out with cuts to the head by sharpened pennies thrown by the scum. Really nasty cuts. Nothing like the old Kippax now.
The fact is that Saturday is the official date for matches. It was moved to Sunday to suit tv purposes. Given the issues surrounding this game including the state of the pitch on the Monday it should have been moved back to the Saturday maybe at a later time than 3.00 p.m.
Compensation should...
I agree. We should send in the kids.Who cares if we win or not.Put a few senior players in and go for it.
A Wembley appearance will do them a power of good.
Boom boom boom it’s Benjamin Mendy woh oh
should be sung from the rafters for our World Cup medallist
Another good stat
We have won 85.7% of our premier league games. The scum have won 68.5%
Scouse gits have only won 55.5%
We have also only lost 5.7% of premier league games.Any records here?
Absolutely disgraceful yet another assault on the trams following the brick thrown at the tram between shaw and darker.
There should be a guard on every tram with cctv all over the place in the interest of public safety.
