Rate the CWC transfer window /10 to date

No hard edge, and players who play like they're trying to impress a girl they like on the schoolyard. Balsa wood football (and the lack of a RB is just a dereliction of duty, I dont care how big / small the squad supposedly is).

    Signing a player on loan

I'm guessing it's down to 1 of 4 things: 1 - Players of trophy winning calibre are rarely available (they often arent) 2 - Loans are often done to ensure of player quality (so we dont want the obligation to buy, as is so regularly done nowadays) 3 - Loaning is rarely done by top clubs, as they...

Savinho | City reject Spurs approach

It makes it so its an impossibility rather than an improbability.

Savinho | City reject Spurs approach

This'll get done after the registration deadline at midday tomorrow, IMO. Like that we get it done, but he can't play against us (no effing way we're turning down the best part of £70m).

    Nathan Ake

Aké won't go as he's crucial to the 8 association trained. (Bear with me here, it gets messy). The PL allows clubs to register 25 players, with no more than 17 being non-association trained (not having been with English / Welsh clubs for 3 years before their 21st birthday). Our (19) foreign...

    Rodrygo

We've cut Walker, Grealish & De Bruyne off the wage bill, so - even with the players bought - should be able to sort it (especially as no-one was really playing for a big club). Again, just MO.

    Rodrygo

Oh yeah, follow up, as logic would dictate (and no need to be ITK for this) I think this will get done pretty much immediately after the Spurs game (both Savinho & Rodrygo).

    Rodrygo

I believe the thinking is that - in Rodrygo - we'd have someone effective (and with a goalscoring threat) who can play on the right, left, or - if Haaland needs a rest or is injured - upfront. This could negate Doku's ineffectiveness (I wouldn't see the point of him being here either, even if...

Gianluigi Donnarumma | Done deal according to Romano

It's remarkable how few people seem to acknowledge / understand this.

Touché (I think). PS. You debate like a 6 year old. :)

Gianluigi Donnarumma | Done deal according to Romano

Did the people checking my post counts balance it off against my location ? I am literally surrounded by PSG fans.

Gianluigi Donnarumma | Done deal according to Romano

Can't express how much I don't want us to sign him. Terrible keeper IMO (most Italians don't rate him, most PSG fans don't rate him, and the PSG management oviously don't), and would be super expensive.

Savinho | City reject Spurs approach

Savinho's crossing & shooting are poor BUT -and as Sir Mixalot would say, it's a big but - he isn't helped one bit by our (over)reliance on Haaland. Haaland expects to receive the ball all of the time, and he also has 2 or 3 players marking him for crosses, which lead to our crossing looking...

    Right back options

So, with less than a month left, are we REALLY going to go until next January without having addressed one of the gaping holes in our squad ? We seem to have addressed most other areas, but - as much progress as Nunes seems to have made - we surely can't go into the season with a non-specialist...
