What is the biggest City myth?

As a City fan living in London.. when introduced to new colleagues/blokes in pubs..'so when did you start supporting City?' I say 1988 was my first game and I've probably been to Highbury/WHL/Anfield/OT more than you.. shuts them up. But why is there a myth about City having 'new fans'?

What city/town do you hate the most?

Sheffield and Hull are two of my favourite cities in the UK.

What city/town do you hate the most?

Went to Maidenhead to watch Barnet (local team) on Saturday. Found it thoroughly depressing, lots of new developments due to proximity to London but property developer soulless. Loads of traffic, could have been anywhere. Football was good though and hello to the Gerry Gow lookalike in the...

Two months off after Istanbul marathon, had a niggly knee pain but ran again December 31st and all seems ok. Did 110k in total in January, very steadily at around 6 mins per km and max run of 14k. Will step it up now, starting with football tomorrow.. My intention is to follow 80:20 plan...

Istanbul Marathon completed yesterday. Aiming for 4 hours, finished in 4:53. Heat, beer and kebabs my excuse. Got to 30k in good time and then lost the plot. However, it was a fabulous event so feel proud and not disheartened. Nursing tight muscles and painful knee today. More beer and...

A work colleague also did Maidstone half today.. For me, final long run before marathon. Have been putting it off due to a lingering cold but 31k today, didn't feel too bad which is encouraging. Have given up on gels/chews and take dates and dried cranberries out with me, these seem to suit...

3 weeks till Istanbul marathon. Today was supposed to be my long long run but have been suffering from a cold all week. Managed to do 8k Friday, 10k Saturday and 21k today. All done slowly, around 6:10 per km. Although the 80/20 book advises sedate running I have appeared to miss the 20%...

4 weeks till Istanbul marathon, it's still quite warm over there. Did a very slow 30k on Sunday, found it slightly easier than the 25k previous weekend. One long one next weekend then tapering.. Also, bought the 80/20 book so thank you to whoever made the first suggestion.

Been a little while since I posted but gradually increasing my mileage. Did 25k this morning, 43k for the week. As per previous advice from @supercity88 I've booked another marathon. Taking inspiration from events earlier this year I've entered Istanbul marathon in November. Very excited...

I love the idea of hill/fell running but living in north London don't really have much on my doorstep.. Oak Hill parkrun this morning, new best time of 23:24. Looking at past results my first parkrun was in 2016, when at the age of 45 I managed to finish in 29:50. Slightly depressing thought...

I like Adriene.. https://yogawithadriene.com/yoga-runners-cool/ I'm a believer in regular stretching/yoga - although I find yoga a bit boring at times. The best yoga I've found for me is Ashtanga, it sort of feels like a work-out.

I run fairly regular but always have to start slowly, first 1 or 2 kms, otherwise I struggle for remainder of the run. The only way I can start quickly is by having a proper warm up, including about 5 minutes of jogging, this I only do for actual races. So, and I'm no expert by any means, but...

Oak Hill parkrun yesterday, first in three months. 17 seconds off PB in 24:10 which I'm pretty pleased with as felt good all race. Off work next Saturday so will have another go..
