Not sure about the 2 teams you have mentioned, are Palace looking to be sold to new owners and wasn't Jones at Villa last season on loan and I got the impression Emery didn't fancy him.

Looking at his salary now it is around 50 K per week . With us not being in Europe and allowed a larger % on outgoings we could offer him an increase on his wages to say 70 to 75 k along with a signing on fee so might be tempting for him.

I agree he is a decent player and suprised he has played over 200 games for them. He is in his last year so if they don't sell risk him going on free. With their large spending last season can't afford that especially with it being all profit on homegrown.
