At secondary school in 70s everyone was a rag. All the 'hard' lads were rags so by default so were most of the others. I still know a few of them today, but not one of them is still a rag!

I went to Maine Road in 1979 (as I imagine a few on here of a certain age did) to 'support' Altrincham against Spurs in FA Cup replay. I only lived five minutes from the ground and never missed a game - even if it wasn't City!

Yeah, bit tight but well organised. We would get there early and leave late (never leave ground before full time) by which time a lot of other cars had left.

We always used to park at the car wash on Ashton New Road. Easier to get away after the match.

Used to leave my bike and helmet with an old guy who lived behind the Kippax - very convenient.

Apologies if this has been brought up before... If penalties were erased from the record books would the Rags have won anything, ever?
