Bent is right. Our squad next season will be better, man for man, than any other club could muster. I know that, Bent knows that, Bluemooners know that. Hardly a state secret.

UEFA FFP investigation - CAS decision to be announced Monday, 13th July 9.30am BST

If it was possible to have the choice of either UEFA's punishment or a reincarnated Peter Swales coming back for another 20 years of dictatorial control of our club then I'd go for UEFA. That would be bad enough but we could still work our way back from that one. There would be no more get-outs...

UEFA FFP investigation - CAS decision to be announced Monday, 13th July 9.30am BST

I think you are right. All players say they want to play in the CL when really it is useless to do so unless they can win the damn thing. There would be the danger of KDB or Raheem wanting out to a potential CL winning club but that's about it. Celtic or Ajax for example would mean nothing than...

UEFA FFP investigation - CAS decision to be announced Monday, 13th July 9.30am BST

If we failed and was the only club to fail under these new rules then it doesn't sound too good to me. Maybe we do have something to worry about after all.

I get that principle but if the same method of reporting was to be applied to all clubs and not just City then they too should be in the dock with us. Roll out the tumbrils.

Deal agreed with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane - €60m (including add-ons)

I'm not bothered about him going. Seems to me that the EPL is too fast and too physical for him plus he's a young man in a foreign country and has been offered 380k good reasons to return to his homelands and to a club where he will be carried along by other great squad players. There isn't much...

Is left back really a problem?

Of course he isn't, he's human like the rest of us but as a footballer his transfer fee and his build have seem to conspire in turning him into another Mangala.

Is left back really a problem?

I've watched City ever since 1958 and have seen them all and have seen some really fine players amongst them but to name one who would be ideal in the present game would take some thought but if I had to plump for one who would be near enough an automatic choice, I'd choose Paul Power.

Deal agreed with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane - €60m (including add-ons)

That isn't going to happen though. No top manager allows a player to dictate his terms of play or tactics employed and will pick his teams according to what can be expected from the opposition. Every top manager, of which Pep is one, will do just that. The moment a manager allows a player to...

Deal agreed with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane - €60m (including add-ons)

We would but if City are so adamant that there is nothing to fear from FFP then what is there to be concerned about?

Deal agreed with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane - €60m (including add-ons)

It isn't but that is the fault of the system and not City. The reason we have got into this predicament is that the system allows one employer to sell an existing employee to another employee which is a rarity these days. There can't be many readers here who have been sold during their working...

Deal agreed with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane - €60m (including add-ons)

Well instead of paying him a fortune while he runs his contract down, then why isn't he man enough to approach Txiki, Kaldoon or whoever else is in a suit and is midway between the Board and player management and be honest in saying that he is unhappy here and that it isn't working out in the...

Deal agreed with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane - €60m (including add-ons)

Don't know if anyone else thought the same but to me Sane probably lost interest in the English game when Warnock's Cardiff team half crippled the lad in that Cardiff cup tie.
