    Players who might improve us

I really don’t see how we stay in this title race being as poor off-ball as we are now. The best team on-the ball no doubt still as we always are but moment we lose it we are so vulnerable. Gonzalez and Rodri shielding the back-line would work but we need someone else. Don’t think Pep would...

    Iliman Ndiaye

I think he’d be great for us, in terms of than dribbling, play in the tight-spaces, 1v1 threat. I think the question you have to ask is which player is more likely to break down low settled blocks, be able to both play in the pockets and provide width and create separation , be an outlet in...

Basically an all action midielder, reliable RB and a winger that can provide G+A consistently Read, Anderson, Ndiaye for example. Have seen Anderson tentatively compared to Rice but that sort of profile is what we need imo.

Yeah I do think Ndiaye could work well, he’s brilliant in those sorts of areas. That’s why Mahrez worked at City too. Another difficult one to pull off without a release clause though don’t see there being many wingers that are attainable in January better than Semenyo.

No Bowen isn’t suited to our team because the players that work at West Ham don’t work at City. We faced low blocks and need more small-space players rather than ones that operate in big-spaces and thrive on transition. How often do you see our attackers with lots of space to attack. Very rare.

We need that all action midfielder: a Rice/Szoboszlai type. Someone with super athleticism and off-the ball play. Maybe that’s Anderson not sure, do think Gibbs-White could have probably played in that pivot off-ball. Baleba another shout but his performances this season haven’t been good enough.

    Nathan Ake

I think he was brilliant in the treble-year. Phenomenal actually. He’s one of those that never drops the level 7/8 out of 10 every week. Doesn’t make errors. Can play against high lines at left-back, LCB, CCB. He’s not somebody we should look at actively trying to sell anyways and I stand by a...

    Nathan Ake

Wouldn’t sell Ake, still one of our best defenders on his way. Would happily let Akanji go but a fit Nathan Ake is still amongst the best defenders in the league.

Brilliant player. Insane technique. Proper maverick.

    4 | Tijjani Reijnders - 2025/26

He’s incredible. Honestly see a bit of Yaya, Kev and Gundo in his game. Passing, running power, versatility, ball-striking. We have robbed Milan.

    Rodrygo

But then if we’re doing that what happens if Nunes gets injured/rotated. We don’t really have an alternative there.
  12. I

    Rodrygo

The only worry I have for Rodrygo is he’s pretty much a carbon-copy profile wise as Marmoush — he’s is yet another player that prefers playing in the half-spaces as opposed to being a 1v1 wideman. He also prefers playing on the left where we have Doku and Marmoush. I think he’s good enough to...

    Xavi Simons

Adeyemi is elite in transition but not sure the end product is there.

    Xavi Simons

Don’t really see the fit as much with him. Rodrygo on the other hand can play on both wings — given that Bobb and Doku are our only wingers (naturally) and are injury-prone, I think someone with Rodrygo’s versatility is useful. Also gives us the option to swap the wingers sides when we can. I...

    Rodrygo

Hes got the ability to play anywhere across the front-line I still think there’s a new level he can reach too. He’s a statement signing arguably our biggest signing since Haaland if we pulled it off. Genuinely think it’s the first wide player we can be confident to give us the sort of output...
