Mostly positive article in the DM today about the two Peps and others' impact on the team this season. Think we can all agree Pep 2 has had a positive influence on our directness and energy levels.

Wow, that's almost exactly what I was going to write. I've commented before that that save is the exact reason I support City and I remember as a 9 year old how pissed off I was that Stepney got save of the season.
So here it is:
And if you're wondering about my username and my memory isn't...
Yes, the symbol does but no mention of the name.
Thinking about it again, it's probably just a simple commercial decision. A large section of our international fanbase must be Muslim so putting a Christian symbol on the shirt would run the risk of alienating them and lowering sales.
I thought something similar but I think you've got to bear in mind that's a Christian cross and we're owned by Muslims. All the official marketing blurb only refers to "our earliest known kit" from when the "Club was based in Gorton". Not a single mention of St Mark's anywhere.
Just saw this on the BBC. Sad news but not unexpected and he definitely deserves the right to choose his own time of leaving and the location of his statue.
He was the greatest player in the greatest period of success - it doesn't get any better than that.
Magnificent for 8+ years for us and...
Nice positive article on the Academy in the DM today from Jack Gaughan. Not sure if this is the right place to post it but I couldn't see a "General Chat" thread in the Academy Forum, it all seemed to be about specific players and matches. Feel free to re-post where appropriate.
Un-paywalled...
I have a different view on that article. Yes, it's got the usual click-bait red shirt appeasing BS headline and it starts off as a hit-piece but the article basically concludes with saying that City being not guilty is the best all round outcome for football.
This is the paragraph: "Such...
Can't see it happening as Haaland's the 10 year main man but Marmoush would be the obvious alternative choice, he has an 8 out of 9 penalty record.
Honestly can't remember when I felt confident about a City penalty taker. Sergio wasn't the best and I'm pretty sure Kev, Gundo and Raz all missed...
Why do you think that about Vinny? Things seem to be working out for him at Bayern at the moment but he's married to a Mancumian, I would have thought he would jump at the chance to succeed Pep and "come home".
Doing well at Bayern just increases his credibility for the position in my view and...
Slight exaggeration - he didn't pay City anything to join, he waived £4m in bonuses that were due to him from Shakhtar to get the transfer over the line.
Doesn't change the basic sentiment that he was a fantastic acquisition for us and one of the EPL's greatest ever midfielders.

I don't think Dias has been the same defender since he adopted the "arms behind your back" blocking position. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I swear he didn't do that in his first season when he won Player of the Year.
