Yes, the symbol does but no mention of the name. Thinking about it again, it's probably just a simple commercial decision. A large section of our international fanbase must be Muslim so putting a Christian symbol on the shirt would run the risk of alienating them and lowering sales.

I thought something similar but I think you've got to bear in mind that's a Christian cross and we're owned by Muslims. All the official marketing blurb only refers to "our earliest known kit" from when the "Club was based in Gorton". Not a single mention of St Mark's anywhere.
