Retirement....is it all it's cracked up to be ?

You're right, and having a lot of money has never been important to me. Peace of mind and connection to others is much more important.

Retirement....is it all it's cracked up to be ?

To be honest I got lucky, as my partial retirement coincided with being based out of the main office and dealing only with 18-24 year olds that are considered as the more "job ready" ones. Much smaller caseload and half hour appointments compared to 10/15 minutes. It's like another world to be...

Also, for what it's worth, I've been dealing recently with a young chef in this same situation. He has dyspraxia and rather than looking at the usual restaurants and pubs etc we are looking instead at catering positions within schools/colleges and care homes. We have found them much more...

Retirement....is it all it's cracked up to be ?

I'm 62 in a couple of months and have been able to reduce to just 2 days a week a couple of years back. It's perfect, a good balance. I realise not everyone is able to do that but I found it better than just going from work to full retirement.

    Job availability

Hi I don't know of any employer in particular at the moment but have you tried these websites? "Great job sites for people with learning difficulties include specialist boards like Evenbreak and AbilityJOBS, charity-led employment programs like DFN Project SEARCH and Mencap, and inclusive...

    The British Monarchy

I don't think Harry has worked out "reasonably well" at all. I see a vindictive little man who believed his own hype. As for his wife and her family....absolute bloody car crash, the lot of them. Anyway, I take it you agree with taxpayers financing his need for UK security then?

    The British Monarchy

And so has William. Who is a much more rounded individual from what I've seen. And Harry is a lost vindictive little boy, who the RF covered up for. For years.

    The British Monarchy

I see Harry's security is up for review soon. I'm sorry, but I can't stand him. Or his wife. I trust and hope that no money from the taxpayer will be spent on this odious little ginger twat's inflated opinion of himself. Stay in California and live your Flight to Freedom instead of prancing...

ISA / bonds / fix rate saver etc

Thanks very much. I did just delete my original post as I found a free service that my employer used to use for our customers. Although that organisations name has now changed, I thought I'd give them a call. However, your reply definitely helps...thanks again.

Salford Red Devils wound up by HMRC

Went to a couple of "do's" at Willows years back. Such a shame when something longstanding at the centre of the local community goes. Hope they get back.
