Quietly becoming near our most important player and unfortunately (or maybe because) he's someone with no natural replacement in the squad.

Tbh I don't know how having watched Foden, Jesus and more than anyone Bernardo this season Kevin could be under the impression he's carrying us. Sure he will regain form but it's not as if the players around him are dragging him down.

    Burnley (H) - Sat 16 Oct 15:00 | Pre-Match Thread

I'd agree with this more if it didn't jar with the fact Pep threw Sterling into the CL final to play a system we'd never played. The whole Sterling saga I don't understand. If we want him to stay so much then meet his demands and play him on the wing. If we want him to go, don't constantly...

All he needs is his minutes + sterling's minutes in January and he'll blossom. He just needs to start 2 in 3 games which he will with rotation. Absolute top talent, crazy how many are writing him off at 21. Who are the better 21 year old forwards?

    Dusan Vlahovic

Imagine buying him before we pay 150m for him in 3 or 4 years. That'd be nice.

The funny thing is since this was written is we've completed dropped him to play one of two different excellent wingers who don't like playing there in that place. Not really counting the Chelsea game, that was a true rotating false 9. I don't get how he's not making it on when we need a goal.

He's always felt really underrated to me. But it got me thinking - is there a player on the planet that you could swap into that role who'd do it better? The mix of positioning, restraint, physicality and passing.

Wasn't his best game prior to that against Real Madrid?

Southampton (H) | Post Match Thread

Looked decent enough on the right. Went central to do what sterling wasn't at the start of the second half, missed a long shot, head went (main criticism of Jesus) then was subbed for Mahrez so Sterling could go back to his disappointing go at centre forward. If today starts Grealish - Torres...

Starts the season looking like our best number 9 yet doesn't get on the pitch for a minute today as we're desperate for goals. End up yet again seeing Sterling can't play through the middle. Baffling.

How did Ferran not get a minute?

    Erling Haaland

If it comes to signing Haaland i think Khaldoon would absolutely smash our "structure". Looking like he will easily be the best player of his generation. That sort of player you warp everything around. The success, the marketing potential, the icon of ADUG City. I doubt Txiki or Pep would have...

Ederson signs new contract until 2026

What an actual pro. For all the fun with Ederson and the jokes he must be one of the most reliable and satisfied people at the club. Never a sniff of discontent out of him. 195 games 94 clean sheets is unreal.

    It's Quiet Thread 15 - Txiki Blinders

Don't we want rid of Sterling a bit though as he's got two years on his deal, way down rhe pecking order, and wants to be paid like De Bruyne? It does sound a bit like we tried to move him a few times this summer.

    Premier League Games 28/29 August

Chelsea are miles ahead of Liverpool. With all their best players turning 30, lack of depth, AFCON, Klopp's exhaustion and their playing style I can Liverpool having a pretty bad year. Not sure anyone is good enough to take them out of the top 4 though.
