Born in Crumpsall, Manchester.
Raised in Newton of the Heath, Manchester; Moston; Clayton; and Levenshulme.
Attended primary schools in Manchester but departed for secondary school in Reddish (Stockport) and eventually the swamp's shadow at North Trafford College. Also follows Maine Road F.C. and Aberystwyth Town F.C. along the way believing grassroots football is essential to seeing football develop for the better.
