    COVID-19 — Coronavirus

I am very much on the cautious side with this virus. Think we lost 1000s because Boris fucked up etc, Would cheerfully turn the flame throwers on the panic buyers, Bournemouth beach types and BLM lot for risking all of us. I am concerned what might be the consequence of schools re-opening and so...

    Striketh them down oh lord.

I seem to have been quite lucky to catch a few. Except for Portugal I cannot make it thunder there for love nor money, piss down blow a gale no problem, but not even a distant flash of lightning have a seen there. Maybe if you fill a pub close by full of rags and those other ones, pray to the...

    Striketh them down oh lord.

To be honest Kaz I love my storms and try to go abroad at the good times to get a good one, As a result I have seen some absolute monsters in places like the far east, France and Croatia closer to home. We had one a few weeks ago, then the ones Tuesday night and last night that have pretty much...

    Striketh them down oh lord.

On another thread I may have mentioned the biblical storms we had down here in South Cheshire (worringly close to Wales), indeed last night had to be amongst the best if not the best I have seen outside the far east. We had several strikes fairly close by, one spectacular explosion in particular...

    A level results

Just spoke to my youngest who got his results a C and 2 Ds which he says is probably a bit low. That said he is perfectly happy as he got an unconditional offer from Edge Hill anyway so he was not really worried about his results anyway. Amusingly he also says he wont bother appealing or...

    Rain

Just shows what a complex issue it is. I kid you not I am on pretty much lock down existence from end of October until April. Hence I try to grab a few days in Portugal as often as poss in the Winter. I leterally feel the difference as I walk out the door at Faro airport, then the minute i set...

    Rain

Its the humidity Kaz, I am actually much better in this than when its cold, virtually no pain, but I do fatigue quite quickly in this. Got to say I would take it over our winter any day. As people say the problem here is we get a different heat than down in the Med etc.

    Rain

More to come apparently over the next couple of days. I would be surprised if you get nothing at all this week. That last night was not really expected today and tomorrow were the two most likely days, same for the South of England @kaz7 .

    Rain

Remarkable storms I can only remember a couple of times getting storms of that in this part of the country a couple of times, i remember one in the late 70s, and another mid 80s. Love storms and travel with them in mind, get good ones in the South of France and the Balkans at certain times of...
