    Le Tour de France 2016

That was fantastic from Froome yesterday, he was really pushing the limits on that descent. If you can keep away from Valverde downhill then you're certainly doing something right. Chapeau to him.

    La Vuelta a Espana 2015

Uneventful today...well apart from the rotund topless scoundrel who pounced upon a crash and brazenly tried to ride off on Joe Drombrowski's bike whilst smoking a cigarette and offering a wink as a means of justification. Oh and Sagan showing no climbing etiquette when lurching across the road...

    La Vuelta a Espana 2015

A bit late starting a thread this year, but not to worry. Typically wacky Vuelta start with a TTT on the beach! BMC win it, where as Sky appear to stop along the way to make sandcastles and have ice cream. Day 2 sees naughty Nibs get kicked off the race for putting his paws on a passing car for...

    Le Tour De France 2015

I know this may not be popular, but I have to take issue with this narrative of 'French Jealousy' being at the root of the aggravation we've seen these last two weeks. Yes Antoine Vayer, Pierre Salet and Laurent Jalabert have been key protagonists in shedding doubts on Froome's performance, but...

    Le Tour De France 2015

Enjoyable stage today. Quintana taking back some time adds a little intrigue for tomorrow, but I can't see Froome shipping bags of time. I think the only way he may do so is if chaos ensues with long range attacks pre Alpe, which would make for great viewing. Think the Nibali thing is a fuss...

    Le Tour De France 2015

It's no secret that I'm not a Froome fan, but I have to give big credit to him; there were a lot of potentially difficult stages in this race where time could have been lost and he has handled all of them expertly, never looking anything but dominant and composed. Tomorrow's stage again looks...

    Le Tour De France 2015

Ouch! Nothing worse than going down on gravel, so little you can do. I hit the deck on some a couple of months ago but got off very lightly. Speedy recovery bud. TJ was ill. He got dropped early in the stage but then got back in when the peloton took a toilet stop. Soon as contador attacked...

    Le Tour De France 2015

TJ abandons! Meanwhile Movistar yet again riding for 2nd rather than trying to go for the win.

    Le Tour De France 2015

Looking forward to the next four days, hoping for some 2011 Galibier/Alpe style long range action.

    Le Tour De France 2015

Well said buddy. It took real guts for him to do that press conference today, and classy from Contador to be there beside him. Ivan seems a really good guy, here's hoping for a speedy recovery!

    Le Tour De France 2015

Very excited for today's stage, I'm expecting lots of action, surely at least one of the GC guys is going to lose a chunk of time. Anyone seen the Orica Greenedge mechanic video from yesterday during the crash? A bit disturbing but very interesting!

    Le Tour De France 2015

Apparently they neutralised it because all the medical support they had was needed to tend to the crash fallers, and that left the rest of the bunch without ambulance cover, which isn't permitted for obvious reasons. Seems fair enough to me, it's not often you get a crash of such severe nature...

    Le Tour De France 2015

I was re-watching that 'Riding The Dales' earlier and listening to Brad say how much he realised he'd missed the Tour when he did the Giro in 2013, and consequently how excited he was to ride in 2014. It made me reflect that, regardless of what you think of he or Froome, or what went on, the...

    Unrequited Love

Haha file me under this category too! The one's of my teenage years were just overly romanticised infatuations, but in the last instance the feelings ran much deeper and the fall out from it hurt considerably - it was my own fault though, deep down I knew all along she didn't feel anything like...
