One of my favourite ever City players. I was there (via minibus!) at the Munich game in 2011 when he refused to come on - a sour point in an otherwise glittering City career. Probably the first time I’d sat watching a City player knowing full well I was watching somebody in their prime. Unreal.

Pellegrini got away with a fair bit because we knew he was only here for 3 years before Pep came. Even early into his reign. I’d say Hughes. The draw master.

True. But then I don't think many do nowadays because they like to keep their options open - Bayern could be fucked in 5 years and he knows it. So could we. Haaland gave a similar answer in a recent interview if I'm not mistaken. But then we'll be in League 2 in 5 years anyway! ;)

Hope we go balls deep this window and strengthen the first team and not just the squad. Nunes and Kovacic are good players, I like them both, but they improve the depth rather than the actual starting 11 IMO. Doku and Gvardiol are mega, though. I'd just love a statement billy big bollocks...
