Its simple IMO .. He's an awesome player and can turn a gme on its head in an instant. BUT looking at the bigger picture and the long term which is what the club is doing now, he is entering the last year of his contract which by all accounts he is not gonna renew, he has a loyalty clause...

and if it also saves the loyalty clause apparently someone said he has of £6M ..
