    24 | Joško Gvardiol - 2025/26

I think Josko is too massive a unit to play LB consistently, AND he's losing too many balls in midfield when he panics in tighter spaces. I like him as a CB, but as I said I prefer Guéhi with his calmness (except that clownery at Everton, but I didn't see many more poor mistakes). Josko is a...

    24 | Joško Gvardiol - 2025/26

I actually prefer Guéhi over Josko and maybe Josko has the same feeling. Think we would still have a strong defence. Munich would be a top location for the sun loving Croat, close to home. We could use the funds to rebuild midfield - our biggest issue by far IMO. If he stays - fine. Still...

    16 | Rodri 2025/26

I doubt Rodri wants to play PL another 3 years. He has indicated already that it's more difficult post ACL. Would be surprised about an extension. Asking City for big money makes it easier for Real to get him at a reduced rate this summer, but what would Real pay?? Or maybe we are happy to...

    Champions League with Pep

CL means don't concede and certainly not easy goals with a high line. Defence has to be top and strong. Clean sheets win the pot. Pep mostly didn't want to adjust his philosophy - Enrique did.

How complex a debate can be about Diomande and City! ;)

    Champions League Final 2026 | Sat 30th May | Paris Saint-Germain v Arsenal

Wouldn't go that far ;) Gabriel did the job.

    Champions League Final 2026 | Sat 30th May | Paris Saint-Germain v Arsenal

Arses forgot to play football in a CL final. Such a valuable squad but no courage. Poor.

Couldn't be any better, Gabriel. Wonderful.

    Yan Diomande

Ah, we know the story. Omar ripped up Bundesliga defences, Sav did in Spain, Reijnders in Italy. PL seems to be a parallel universe and it's a gamble if players make the step or not. Also in terms of personality and resilience. PL proven players are lower risk but higher price.

    Enzo Fernandez

They'll probably sign him on a free in err... 2032 ;)

Germany's far right / general German politics

I'm aware you don't address me as you've surely understood I'm in knowledge of the political and legal situation. You are painting your very unbalanced picture obviously driven by your political case and your deep hatred for whatever reason by leaving out what you don't like to tell. I hope the...

    Aston Villa - Sun 24th May, 16:00 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Pep just wanted to take the piss with me fukcing up the 'Guess the team' predition. Well done, my friend :))

Germany's far right / general German politics

Good to see that you've corrected your initial view (that 4 activists 'are being deported') and agree that the German legal system is doing well and just, as expected and as it should.

    Aston Villa - Sun 24th May, 16:00 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

I'm actually over it, but still the thought keeps creeping up that we didn't have a hot team fighting for a win at mighty B'mouth for whatever it takes to not be throwing away the title so easily. What a missed chance. Ah well. Not to be.

England World Cup 2026 Squad | Trafford, Stones, Guehi & Nico in

On comparison, I'd prefer the English squad to our German, and Tuchel to Nagelsmann. Tuchel is a weird guy and I don't fancy his boring style, but it's effective. Nagelsmann is a clown though and we're lucky with the new 48 team format to get out of the group this time, after 2 WC fukc-ups...
