hello
my laptop batteries now has only about 15min worth of charge before it clicks off.
anyone know if there are any tips to revive it, or should i just buy a new on?
any aerial will do as long as the signal is o.k.
digital signal is ficckle, it is either good or off...
my advise would be to get a half decent aerial and a booster too.
as for the boxes you can put them where you want.
and don't get me started with the advise that the goverment are...
o.k you must have a wirless box plugged into your phone line at home. if you have all you need is a length of CAT5 cable that will hard wire your laptop to your wireless "thingy". and that should work.
if you do not have a wireless thingy in your houes you need to get hold of a regular...
it is possable to lower speeds, and they do it by remote too. i am with tiscali and when you ring them, they are in india and reset my line. which if you dont tell them will stay at half speed.
I would tell them to sort it or you will be requesting your MAC code (your BB code for your line)...
hav a look on tucows , there should be a free one on there. i know TINY keeps recomending one which is free. either that or i'll give you a CD on friday in marys ;-)

you could use a audio editor, and chop the bit you want out. or give me a shout and i can do it for you. i use Adobe Audition but there are loads out there
then you need a data cable to your phone to transfer them, unless you have bluetooth on your pC
down the road from you didn't. talk talk wanted to charge the in-laws another tenner for the B cos it is not popular in buxton...
well now you have just switched from gas lights to this wonderfull electric stuff, the world is your lobster!!!!

i am going to be doing the same soon. SKY offer the BB at £5 for upto 8mb, but they don't do 8mb to my house yet. so i am waiting till they do....
better than paying 15 quid to tiscali for 2mb....

should just be a case of getting your MAC code from BT and giving it to SKY and about a month later Sky will tell you it is sorted
now i have seen some were that if they say at BT it is going to take ages or somthing to put your foot down and it will be sorted quicker, now that OFCOM are on...
