I just can’t get excited about this World Cup. The main host country is led by a fascist, racist megalomaniac. Kick-off times are about as antisocial as it’s possible to be. And the level of commercialisation, along with the original pricing structure for match tickets, is through the roof.

Carragher, Neville, Gerrard, McManaman, Rooney, Keane, Keown, Merson, Dixon. Even Stephen fucking Warnock. And that’s just off the top of my head, without thinking about it. Our football coverage is infested with ex-red cartel players, all promoting and favouring their former team.
