    Right back options

I dont think we can go wrong with Read or Palestra, both high potential and young with the chance to push for Nunes spot as the starter. Having seen a bit more of both, physically, Palestra looks better suited to the Premier League.

    Players who might improve us

He's a kick and run dribbler. Im convinced that the crowd who say they want him for his dribbling have never seriously watched him. He may have elite speed, but a weak touch and weak finish combination is not great. Semenyo has a weak touch and is fast, but he atleast has great finishing, so...

    Sandro Tonali

It works perfectly. 4231 with Cherki as the 10 and Rodri with Tonali deeper as a pair. Get the LB to bomb forward into the left attacking spot, Pep and Maresca have done this all the time.

Interesting way he answered that. Doesnt really fill me with confidence though, I imagine he is off.

    9 | Erling Haaland - 2025/26

You've said 2 separate questions. There is voting for the president clearly. But you must have a Madrid stakeholder with some backing already before you run in the election.

    10 | Rayan Cherki - 2025/26

In his 1st season in the league at 22 he became the leagues best creator in open play. If that's not adapting to the league then im gonna need a definition on what that even means.

    4 | Tijjani Reijnders - 2025/26

Harsh game to judge for him and RAN, but they were one of the better players for their respective teams. Heavy substitutions, as is typical for a friendly, kinda ruin the game. Some great passes though, but its clear, he can't play a deeper role, Koeman clearly knows it too, you have to play...

Playing well against Algeria. Really incisive passing as the 10.

    Looking good against Netherlands

And thats fair, just didnt expect us to buy 2 attacking options as it requires more outgoings than expected (Savinho, Marmoush).

    Morgan Rogers

Another attacking midfielder... Makes no sense lol. Every link I read makes me think they are either nonsense or the clear out will be more massive than I had expected.

I think we are light in wide depth as well. I prefer Savinho staying AND another wide player coming in. If he goes, I dont know which 2 players we get. Apparently Diomande is very heavily linked to PSG and Liverpool, so I dont think that happens. Akliouche, Trincao? The options arent supe4...

If you read everything I wrote I made it clear what sense I meant anti Maresca. Yes the fullbacks suit him perfectly well. But we have Doku as a starting touchline winger, who likes to drift inside lately. And the other starting winger, in the 4231 Maresca likes, is Semenyo, who also prefers...

    The Squad planning thread

Im referring to 4231 with a fullback inverting to make a 3241 with 2 wide wingers. Currently, the backup to Doku and Semenyo is... Savinhio, and we want to sell him? I mean okay, but we needed a winger already, now I think we need 2. Which could happen, I just didnt think it would.

    The Squad planning thread

I still struggle to see the logic in selling Savinho unless we buy much more players than I realized. Our current squad, strangely, is kind of anti-Maresca built. We are loaded with attacking fullbacks who are good at holding the width, with many many central attacking players including...
