Clattenburg to move to Saudi Arabia

Would be funny if we sorted him out and in return he digs the dirt on the PGMOL lot.

We can but dream

This story broke 2 days ago, but like Halsey's potential explosive accusations recently, they both died a death. Why ?. its strange that our only 'world class' (sic), referee, who only recently was anointed as the best in the world at his chosen profession, has suddenly decided enough is enough and is now going to ply his trade in Saudi Arabia !. In the report he said that he was fed up with all the scrutiny that follows his every decision. Well, last week against Hull he broke all the rules. He viewed the incident at half time and apologised to the Hull team. 2 clear breaches of the refereeing code. After all he only missed the most clear handball goal ive ever seen not punished, and went onto send off a player for the exact same handball offence in the penalty area.

For a newly crowned 'worlds best' referee to miss those calls would be like you and me missing our mouth with a fork !

Then our national press and media say nothing. That surely is no coincidence but a concerted cover up.

This is very smelly. I hope though, that Clattenburg, and others we know only to well, spill the truth out sooner than later. Its how most scandals get out eventually, the dam breaks, and previously muted individuals cannot wait to tell their side.

And it all falls on Gill's lap. Please let it happen.

Investigation of debts
In the summer of 2008, Clattenburg was appointed to referee that year's FA Community Shield, with Dave Richardson and Ian Gosling assisting and Andre Marriner acting as fourth official.[15] However, Clattenburg was later suspended from refereeing, pending an investigation into alleged debts incurred by companies to which he was connected.[16] The Shield match between Portsmouth and Manchester United took place at Wembley Stadium with Peter Walton as the replacement referee.[17]

Following the investigation into his personal life and business debts, the referees' governing body dismissed Clattenburg, citing a breach of contract. He denied all the allegations and appealed the decision.[18] On 18 February 2009 theProfessional Game Match Officials Board reinstated Clattenburg as a Select Group referee. However, he had to serve an eight-month suspension, starting from his original suspension date of 6 August 2008. Upon his return from suspension on the last day of the Premier League season, Clattenburg refereed a fixture between Manchester City and Bolton Wanderers— his only domestic appointment of that season.

another "stinks to high heaven" situation.
