I can't believe this will fall through now. As I say, I think this "conditional on getting a replacement" line is a lie. If they didn't say that, and the sale of Sanchez was announced already, how on earth could they negotiate any sort of deal for replacements when all the potential selling clubs know they have them over a barrel. They have to be able to bluff that they can keep Sanchez.

I have to agree. These reports came from Simon Mullock, City's guy in the media. I don't think City would tell Mullock that detail unless they were confident the deal is getting done no matter what Arsenal do.

Of course, that's just speculation on my part.
